    You'd think there would another striker too, assuming we offload Balotelli and Benteke. That would be 6 new players which I would have thought would be the limit given we don't have European football. (Personally, I'm not sure we will sign Gotze.) You've also got to factor in players coming back off loan that Klopp may view differently to Rodgers (Markovic, Alberto).

    I wonder if Klopp may play it a bit cagey at first and leave one of Firmino or Sturridge out for an extra midfielder.

    Reckon West Ham will get caught up in the emotion of the occasion tonight and Utd will grind out the win they need to (almost certainly) consign City to the Europa League next season.

    It's just buying players in their late 20's that I'm not mad about. Players with his presence in midfield don't come around too often.

    He can be a real asset in the right system but Can is on another level already despite being more than 3 years younger. If you can't see that then that's too bad. You make him sound like he was Terry McDermott. Besides he wasn't being asked to hold the midfield like Can is.

    He is a gifted footballer but he is a bit of a luxury too. He will never be physically and mentally tough enough to lead the line by himself. You either have adjust the shape of the side and play him alongside someone who is or he gets used to not being an automatic starter.

    I don't think he is, unless we get a silly offer. Klopp may well have reservations about Sturridge's fitness record and defensive workrate but my guess is that the focus will be on getting shot of Balotelli and Benteke.

    Firmino has shown nothing out wide. You have to play through the middle or forget it.

    That's the team I'd go with. Only real debate is Sturridge v Firmino.

    Me too. They looked unstoppable that season. 2007 was great but they didn't have the same air about them.

    He is going to be the best midfielder in the country if he carries on at this rate.

    His lack of physical strength means that he has to be at the top of his game (or near to it) in terms of touch and decision-making to be effective - particularly when he starts games.
