Didn't Hodgson say that he wouldn't start anyone who played on Wednesday?
-
A fan, just like you! Am I not entitled to an opinion? We were 5 minutes away from a draw at Old Trafford, which would have been a good result. I don't know whether I want him at the club or not, it's too early to make a judgment, on the back of 5 league games when we've had a very tough start. He's had to reshape central midfield with Poulsen and Meireles, it will take a while for ideas to come into fruition. But you, along with loads of people on here, are already writing him off, and not even giving him a chance.
-
You're talking utter s***. What would you have done differently? I think he put our best team out there. Some may say Agger ahead of Skrtel, but that's it. There is a limit to what a manager can do. His substitution of Ngog for Maxi changed the game, which he should take credit for.

Gerrard Poulsen Meireles

Poulsen most certainly didn't look awful, he was class today. They targetted our full backs, who were poor, but to criticise Poulsen is ridiculous.
-
He most certainly isn't. He would be a great addition to the squad. He was rubbish at Anfield last season, but he could barely run. He was fantastic at their place earlier in the season though, he gave Carragher and Skrtel a torrid time I seem to remember. I don't see there being much between him and Crouch, they both have their strengths and weaknesses. One thing he has over Crouch is pace, which we desperately need.

£4m for an experienced professional who was an integral part of a very good Sevilla side for 2 years? A great pick-up if you ask me. Juve spent a fortune on Melo last summer and Poulsen still managed to play plenty of games for them last season. To be sure, he's a dirty player, but having such a narky c*** in the side isn't a bad thing, every good side has those kind of players and we'll be losing one of the few players we have in this regards when Mascherano goes. A boring point, but he's also tall. One of the reasons we looked so poor at defending set pieces last season was the lack of height in the squad.

Completely agree. I'd go as far to say that Insua was one of the weakest players starting for a top half premiership team last season, he was that poor. A huge weakness to the team. I cannot understand why people on here are so down on Figueroa, were he to be signed. A significant improvement on Insua, used to English football, so less of a risk than signing someone abroad.

That is surely rubbish? Betfair maybe, but not proper bookies. Otherwise, why do odds move? Surely the bookies don't actually think England are third favourites for the World Cup? Under your logic, the bookies wouldn't alter their odds and shorten the price on a heavily backed horse/team/result, which would be mental on their part.

Because according to people who have provided good info before, Torres was off if Rafa stayed, as was someone else. That, and the awful football we played the whole of last season, combined with the woeful league position, was enough for the board to ask him to leave. It's hard to argue with that.

Comments like this and others about the calibre of players at Fulham is a ridiculous statement to make. Hodgson has spent little money and formed a side punching well above their weight and has bought the players he can afford, the ilk of player willing to join a club as small as Fulham's. Of course top players aren't going to join them, but he was able to put together a side which went on an amazing Europa Cup run and has beaten the top sides at Craven Cottage. Others are saying this isn't the calibre of manager who should be at the club. Wake up! Who in their right mind would walk from a current job into this steaming s*** sandwich? Hoping to attract Van Gaal is nothing more than a pipe dream. And I have doubts about Kenny as the manager. He's been out of management for too long, and was hardly a success at Newcastle or Celtic.

This website (an absolutely brilliant website, by the way) seems to think that North Korea are pretty decent: http://www.zonalmarking.net/2010/05/26/north-korea-a-better-side-than-you-might-expect/#more-3093 -
He's come out and said that his wife is struggling to settle here. I know if my wife was moaning all of the time about being in England, and there was the opportunity to move to Spain, where you know she'd be much happier, it'd be a hard move to turn down. Easily replaceable is he? What a load of rubbish. Mascherano is an absolute warrior, a beast in the middle of the pitch. Only him, Reina, Carragher, Krygiakos and Torres can hold their heads up and not feel ashamed about the pathetic team performance this season. And you're saying get rid? We should be bending over backwards to make his wife feel more settled.

1. Carragher 2. Agger 3. Reina for the penalty save, although he wasn't that busy. For all of the possession Man U had, I thought we were pretty comfortable for large spells. Carragher and Agger played very well, they didn't let Rooney turn very often.

Speaking of Johnson, did anyone else notice him wimp out of a few tackles in the second half? -

There is somthing clearly wrong with Gerrard's fitness. Enough of this rubbish about him being the captain, he doesn't care, blah blah blah. He's still been getting into great positions, his touch is still there but his legs look gone, he's got to be carrying something. A lot of players with less heart and desire would have declared themselves unfit and refused to play. -
Even that side were boring to watch.
-
Yes, yes it was him. He rattled off the ways in which Chelsea have been defeated in the Champions League. Aside from the fact that he's a complete n0b with absolutely zero class, his teams play very boring football. Sit tight, play deep, smack the ball into the corners and use pacy wide players to exploit that pace. I know we're hardly an enjoyable side to watch under Rafa either, but he's had shedloads of money to spend at both Chelsea and Inter and that's the kind of football he harnesses. Of course, this is all academic, as there's no way he'd come to manage a clubs with such a disfunctional ownership structure.
-
Don't want that classless pr1ck anywhere near our team. Did you hear him go on the other day about the "non-goal" from the 2005 semi final the other day? N0b.

Worst footballer in the Premier League?
deacon replied to Maldini 's topic in General Football Discussion
Hibbert's a good shout. Truly s***. But the worst is Dawson for Hull. Just looks way out of his depth. Now I know he's not rubbish, but if we're talking about overrated players, Ballack's got to be top of the list. Whenever I watch Chelsea, I barely notice him on the pitch, he just does nothing. So ineffectual.
