in answer to my own question i assume dic would not have borrowed from the bank and any loan would've been of lower or zero rate interest.

and if the refinancing deal goes ahead, it'll be the fans who pay for the privilege of their ownership. as an aside, does anyone know how prevalent leveraged takeovers are in football? ie were dic planning the same?

i heard the hks design was going to cost £400-500m. g&h wanted to get the price down to £300m. that wasn't going to happen, hence interest in original design and making it 70k seater.

i think if we're anticipating going to extra time, we need an outlet against tired legs. kewell, pennant, maybe, but bellamy's the only one with any real zip (i don't think gonzalez will make the 18)

i think rafa's covering his bases. alonso's yet to sign a new deal and there were other clubs sniffing around lucas. makes sense to bring the new lad in, whatever the future holds

i could see something like that, i think it's important we stretch them wide. i'd expect garcia to be in the 16 though

hamann doesn't make it but huth does?

we've got to keep der kaiser. he doesn't make the bench most weeks but when he does step in you know you're going to get a sterling performance. with 2 players for each position, 6 outfield players in the stands, you need players like didi.

rafa does seem to favour a holding player alongside a box-to-box man, the latter which i'd describe gerrard & sissoko. i'd love didi to stay but wouldn't be surprised if benitez was looking at an alternative. i also think we need another targetman as competition for crouch.
