im not a chelsea fan, i despise them. the carvalho situation was inside the box during a corner, it hardly looked deliberate,nothing to cry about. why should gallas get sent off for pulling down cisse ? it was a penalty, nothing more, nothing less, stop being such a spastic. chelsea had several clear goal chances that were called off due to the linesman mistaking it for an offside, they also had a goal that was disallowed. a fair score would have been 4-1 or 4-2 then. would that make you happy ? No, because if we score the penalty from Carvalho's foul it's a completely different game...everything that happened after is irrelevant And nice use of the word spastic.

Just once i'd like to see him have a real go against them or the Mancs. He seems subdued against Chelsea...walks around with his head bowed when he should be flying into Lampard and mouthing off at them. If he is the best player in the world, as many people believe, then he needs to play better in games like that.

We have had fullbacks who go forward - Zeige ( essentially a midfielder ) and Stig to name just two but neither were defensively sound. Then we've had Carra, Wright and Traore who are basically makeshift fullbacks, although Carra did very well as the defensive full back to Babbel's swashbuckling right back. Babbel was awesome but players like that don't go on trees and signing them on a free is just Roy Of The Rovers last minute Cup winner material.

Carvalho uses every trick in the book...still amazed how he got away with that foul on the keeper against Barca. He was sent off a few weeks ago for two yellow cards but he makes red card offences seemingly every week. This season Riise has been by far the best left back at the club, and i've criticised him before. Traore has the pace to recover from mistakes but Riise makes fewer mistakes and has more positional sense, greater awareness.

Rest assured i wouldn't have been so diplomatic with Terry or Robben. I might not have played again for another couple of years - unless in Her Majesty's colours - but it would have been worth it. I think Gerrard is far too quiet against Chelsea. He always seems subdued against them.

What Crouch and Morientes are significantly superior to Baros at is bringing others in to the game and helping retain possession. Baros used to get praised for his effort but quite alot of the time it was of no real benefit to the team. ( And i was saying the same thing 2 years ago so it's not hindsight, revisionsim or any other buzzword )

the whole lot needs looking at. There's been a recent increase in bookings for tackles that are no more than a split second too late, which i don't agree with. Then you have all the antics at corners and freekicks with shirt pulling, barging etc which should be discouraged with bookings and penalties. Linesman now have too much to concentrate on and the offside rule should be reverted back to something simplistic - if you have only one opposing player between you and goal when the ball is kicked you are offside. Sod all this ' active ' crap. Asking a linesman at ground level to decide if someone is interfering with play is ridiculously unfair. UEFA / FIFA need to take some unecassary pressure off the officials.

If i had to choose 4 of them to play today it would be Owen, Morientes, Anelka and Sinama. I thought Owen and Anelka played very well together in 2002. The Fowler of 10 years ago was some player but that's long gone. Anyone thinking he's anything more than a back-up player now is delusional.

The run we were on earlier in the season and the results we picked up wouldn't have been possible with Milan in the side. Cisse and Baros are similar types of forward in that they are difficult to play alongside, although i think Cisse should at least have been given a run in the centre when he came on as the aerial route to Crouch wasn't working. Luke Moore's finishes the other day were top class but is he having his 15 minutes or is it the start of something more substantial ?

I thought there were several challenges their defenders made that went unpunished. What happened to the ref who gave the penalty for Hierro's foul on Quinn in the World Cup ? Was he sacked ?
