Agreed. Markovic, I think, really has been treated like a dog when you compare the opportunities he's had to play in his preferred position versus others who have and still not delivered, like Lallana, Allen, etc.

Me and my mate could only get tickets in the Home end for that match. f***ing surreal experience too: around the 75th minute, I took a look around and could see one guy doing a crossword and another asleep (noting that I think they still had something to play for in terms of the league that season!). Anyway, after their peno, we couldn't take it anymore and walked out along with hundreds of these t***s jumping around us in celebration. As we were getting towards the exit out of the stadium complex, we heard the roar (for our penalty) and I spoke to another mate on the phone who was explaining what went down. As I'm getting the details, these Gooners are asking me what happened (no-one knows that they've just conceded a penalty) so I'm translating my mate's jubilant news ("Yes! Get in! Lucas has just won a peno! Eboue brought him down!") to something that wouldn't get our heads kicked in: "Oh FFS! That c*** Eboue! He only gone an' conceded a penalty! FFS!". They obviously went mental in anger and we were secretly pissing ourselves as we stoked their flames by calling Eboue all sorts at the top of our voices. One of the best post-match experiences of my life - kinda made up for having to sit with them c**** with no atmosphere for 95 mins! p.s. Yes, I know - "you had to be there..." - but, remember, sharing is caring
