    Ok, so you’re saying without the sale of Coutinho last year we would have had nothing to spend, zero profit. Fair enough.

    Depends on what you are suggesting contributed to the £125m profit from last year. If it came from league and champions league performance then you have demonstrated we had a profit growth of £69m on top of the £125m, because those two contributors we repeated and not only that but bettered in both cases

    We do have to overhaul them but I don't think signings alone guarantee this, certainly not considering the margins we are taking about. I personally think this current squad is good enough to overhaul City, the boost from the champions league alone may just convince them they are good enough, however I certainly would be pissed off if we do sign a player or two

    Technically we didn't win the league, however I feel this group of players certainly proved last season they were good enough to win the league. Would love to see an additional forward brought in, would love it even more if we unearthed a relatively unknown player for a low fee. However if we don't I'm not overly concerned.
