Sadly the club needs someone of Broughton's stature for the outside world (ie potential purchasers). All previous people have proved to be void of all moral worth. Whatever, he's paid it may well be money well spent
Its all a fine mess to be sure. All that remains is for the club to go into administration receive the 10 point deduction, then all pressure on whoever the manager is will be well and truly off. Couldn't happen could it?
If some of the reports in today's papers are true (*!), then the banks forcing them to repay borrowings sooner rather than later may be a blessing in disguise in the long run. The sooner they're long gone the better.
