It will be a very different game at home, in all respects. No mid week games before it, no travel, no man u game 3 days before, crouch and gerrard back in the starting line up................ and we have to come back from 1-0 at "half time". If we can't do that, then frankly, we don't deserve to go through.

HK is certainly determined and obviously got a taste for it. That was a great header which VDS saved just prior to the goal

Kewell playing on the left means more chances for the team, but less goals for him. We simply need to convert more. Skillz summary of HK is spot on. He is a very valuable player right now, who is still not at his best. I'd say that he is at the percentage that Rafa believes the team is at (I think it's 70% now?). What I like is that HK will improve at the same rate as the team improves, which augurs well for him and our club.

I'd have a midfield of Kewell, Alonso, Gerrard, Cisse. I'd have Hamman playing for Alonso in the away games over the next few weeks; for the reason that the Anfield pitch is like carpet compared to the last 3 away pitches, which suits Alonso. Conversely, he's left effective when the ball bobbles all over the place. Hamman can handle any conditions.

I haven't read alll the thread, but here's my tuppence worth. need to play the following team in the short term Dudek/Carson Finnan, Hyypia, Carragher, Riise Cisse/Garcia, Hamman, Gerrard, Kewell Morientes/Fowler/Crouch (2 of) Could possibly bring in Agger, but I'm loathe to upset the defensive understanding. If Gerrard is unavailable for Wigan, then Alonso. Confidence will return. Goals will come. Games will be won. IMO Didi is critical to our short term success
