How old is Giggs? Does he still have an impact as he seems to start most of the time whether in the middle or crossing? I think it was Figaro or Fyds who posted a topic about Kewell even when he was fit along the lines of "he can't even beat a ....". Would you only offer a contract on reduced wages and keep him as a squad player? considering the prospect that Rafa can't find/afford replacement wingers that are world class/£20 Million bracket?
Who would be the best priced out of: Van der Vart Aimar Modric Ibaghaza (Use to supply Torres) Diego Or do we use one from the current: Babel, Benayon, Kewell, Alonso or Leiva?
Is Stephen Hunt worthy at around 3 million? Already a Premiership player, seems to play at a high Tempo. Can play behind the striker, appears in the middle (makes those darting runs in the box) right and left. Reminds of mixture of Luis Garcia and Tim Cahill.
Mascherano Benayoun Babel Does Kewell deserve a new contract reminding me of Jamie Redknapp when he came back from Injury before Joining Tottenham. Kuyt's ok as a fourth Striker.
Didn't like the way Alan Hansen on MOTD tried to put his goal down to defensive mistakes rather than his ability. Even Alan Shearer disagreed with him (Strikers honour). If it was Henry or the likes it would of been great, blah, blah, blah.
It was the power, sharpness and speed of boths teams (Community Shield) that stood out. Then watching our game we looked a couple of gears down compared to them, where we're happy to just attack at a slower pace. If we attack at that pace this coming season as though we are in La Ligue then forget the Title.
All three may play depending on the left back situation. May be Aurelio is sacrificed or pushed into LM with Agger at left back, depending on who is fit to play at LB
Is he the only one in the team that can play that 2nd striker role (between midfield and attack) or does he need some competition like Malbranque or BenAyauon? Excluding Gerrard as I don't think it suits him.
