Hope the Redskins lose their next fifteen and the Yankees fold once again in October! They and their fans remind me of the worse combination of ManU and Chelsea teams and supporters! As for Liverpool, a nice win Sunday calms the irrational muppets.

All I know is that when we play with two strikers and he is one of them, we play better on the pitch. We almost always get a result and Crouch is usually one of the main reasons. He may not be this, or he may not be that, but he just helps us win. I am a bottom line kind of guy, "Did we get the result," and who was on the pitch when we earned the points? You can find his faults, but I believe Rafa has found his strengths!

I love players with passion and who are not afraid to voice their opinion. On the other hand, players who whine all of the time seem to piss the refs off and any 50-50 proposition goes against them. Bellamy had some 50-50's go against him after he yelled the first time. I just wonder if after that display the linesman called the next one and the one after that against him to indicate if you keep complaining you will never get a call. That, in the end, hurts the team, it doesn't help it. As for Bellamy as a player and one who will get stuck in, he is the type of player I have felt we needed the past five seasons. He is in your face and means it. Every club needs courage away from home and players like Bellamy provide that courage. It allows the more skilled players to get more room knowing that opposing players don't have free license to intimidate them. Just my opinion.

If I am the gaffer of West Ham, would I want my side attacking down the left against Finnan or the right against a player new to the premiership? I personally believe Aurelio is a quality player and as he settles in at both left back and left wing, he will be a solid contributor for our club.

Random thoughts to this thread. Last season's opener Chelsea went to Wigan and were held scoreless for ninety minutes. They scored in extra time to win the game. That brings at least two different thoughts: A Championship team finds a way to win this type of game against a lesser opponent. Tough to open against a newly promoted team away from home because they have not faced any adversity to this point and don't realize they shouldn't win. Hence they give great effort! Looking at Rafa's team selection and saying it cost us the game is way off the mark. If you read the starting line-ups of the two teams and had to bet money on one team, which would it have been? Liverpool had Gerrard, Bellamy, Carragher, Sami, Momo, Riise, and Reina in goal. The other five starters are Premiership quality players. It was the lack of effort and not the team selection. Watching the intensity of the Community Shield game, and understanding we are playing a game for 10 million pound on Tuesday, Rafa tweaked the line-up to utilize his whole squad. That is what everyone has praised, "Our great depth at all positions." Now with the injuries to Jaime and Jon Arne, we will find out how good the depth of this squad is over the next months!

Two other points with this squad: 1. So many of the players have the ability to play other positions on the pitch making the club even deeper than it looks in this schematic. 2. It also always the younger players ( Hobbs, Antwi, Anderson, etc.) to continue to grow and learn with much less pressure. Go on you Reds!

I don't want to sell Kewell or Garcia. Kewell gives us experience. Garcia gives us a creative force (most likely off of the bench), who can come in and change a game. He has also proven to be immense in European matches. In reality, I don't believe we have another player on the squad who can fill this roll.

Pierluigi Collina. Just to see if his eyes can roll in a different direction!

What are you on about? Crouch is Rafa's first call and any striker we sign will play off of him. I'm not a great Bellamy fan because I do believe he acts like a c*nt. At least if we sign him he will be "our" c*nt and I will support him! Like any addition to the squad he will give Rafa "possibilities. I do believe he is a quality striker and , if his attitude stays right, and he stays healthy, will be a good addition. Two big ifs!
