  3. We need a winger, a proper world class winger and we need a striker to play off torres Spend big on those two and get two as good as torres and we are on our way there

Reina, Agger, Alonso, Mascerano, Torres - F'ckin BRILLIANT buys and the spine of a great team. The only bad buys for big money he made was kuyt and morientes. Not a bad average to be honest, even kuyt cost less than yakubu Add Gerrard and carragher and we need a couple more, especially in wide midfield areas and we are not a million miles away ONE f'ckin world class talent in torres and one of europes brightest kids in babbel does not stand against the likes of Arsenal who have a squad ten years in the making or chelsea and Utd who each have about £300 million worth players Give him a couple of more f'ckin years with REAL backing in the transfer market for god sake before you turn and ruin it all Don't f'ck this all up now by turning on the manager, allow him to buy the likes of alves etc for wide positions next summer and let his team evolve. The ONE time he has been allowed to spend the type of money chelsea and utd spend on three every summer look what he delivered in torres. It is not going to happen over night and straight away, torres is not going to win us the league, a world class winger will not win us the league next year probably either, it is going to take two or three years for 1) Three world class players to be paid for and 2) Some of the around 30 kids he has bought to mature If we get there before then it is a bonus but dont expect it, it is simply not possible for ANY manager to do that with Liverpool against Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal - we started from to far back with regards to time and world class players. If in the mean time we can get close and win a european cup or FA cup then brilliant, untill then let the team evolve ffs and dont throw it all away now

Why is everyone holiding up mourhino as some sort of saviour HE IS GOING TO INTER OR AC MILAN at the end of the season when he is allowed to work again under the terms of his pay off from Chelsea Whats wrong with giving rafa a couple of season with some decent money to spend, he never did a bad job with torres did he when he was finally allowed to spend big, why not give him a couple more summers to build something instead of ripping it all up and starting again ffs

Give him two or three years of being able to buy top class, like he was allowed to do in the summer. The one time he has been allowed to spend the sort of money chelsea and utd spend on players look at what he brought in I would give him another two years after this, seriously. And back him properly in the transfer market and let him buy another two or three world class players and let some of the young players he has brought in develop. No need to panic yet, we are doing very well in europe every year that is keeping the money ticking over, lets just stick with what we have got because there is simply no one else out there who could do any better to be frank. Wenger and Ferguson have been there for years and have had years to build those teams. Dont expect miracles after ONE summer of being properly backed in the transfer market, we are a better team than last year, torres is f'ckin majestic. We are just obviously still not good enough to win a league title

The people calling for the manager to be sacked need to have a look at themselves. It is ridiculous, who exactly would we bring in, mourhino is NOT available he is going to Italy at the end of the season. What do we do when torres and alonso want to move back to spain if the manager is sacked, what about the two, three or four years of the new manager selling everyone and bringig his own people in Back to square one - its a frightening thought, I would much rather give Benitez a couple more years with a couple of summers being able to buy a torres type signing each year and then lets see where we are
  9. Huyton_Red

    rafa

That is not true, mourhino won the league twice with chelsea using exactly the same 'smothering' tactics you speak of

What about the other run, in the same season where we won about 10 straight games then whats your 'excuse' for that one ?
  11. ha ha ha ha ha ha f'ck me I have only just read this little peice of forum gold........ Kaizer has now officially become a forum legend, it takes years normally to be one of the forum c'nts, it only took me about 4 minutes to become universally ridiculed however I am the exception to the rule

    a) No we have not b) Rubbish, how can the mancs and chelsea be in a f'ckin race and we are not if after our games in hand we are only 5 and 1 point off them. MADNESS. This is first year under rafa we are actually still in touch at xmas and your all still not f'ckin happy.

What exactly is 'plain to see' ? Explain to me what he is doing so drastically wrong then If things dont improve ? We are STILL in the f'ckin title race arent we, is that not a huge improvement on the previous three seasons ? What about the champions league knock out qualification for the fourth christmas in four years Its really good of you to be 'behind' him mate, it really is. If things dont improve, f'ck me that 5 points the mancs will have on is shamefull isnt it and as for the point chelsea will have well f'ck me they where both about 17 points ahead of us this time last year with NO games in hand for us. How can anyone call that improvement

That is absolute rubbish wayne We are home wins against West Ham and Wigan away from being a point off chelsea, five off Utd and seven off Arsenal. I am all for realism and not getting carried away but far to many are swinging the other way now and providing negativity for negativities sake. With the exception of Reading away our form since we drew at Blackburn has been excellent, i discount the Chelsea game as we played a reserve team. Utd mugged us at anfield, scored from a set peice and then defended for the rest of the game with 11 men, this can happen in big games, its no end kill yourself drama. Even city at the weekend, we battered them and your talking the team that is 5th in the league and has won 9 and drew one of its home games this season ffs. We completey penned them into their own half for the last 45 minutes but it was just one of those days when it would not go in. Besiktas 8-0 Fulham 2-0 Newcastle 3-0 Porto 4-1 Bolton 4-0 Reading 1-3 Marseille 4-0 Man United 0-1 Chelsea 0-2 Portsmouth 4-1 Derby County 2-1 Man City 0-0 We are on a very good run of form and I am not having this doom and gloom nonsense, we are also in a good position in the league should we win our two games in hand and alonso is back now soon to be joined by agger. It is absolute rubbish to suggest we are out of the title race and it is even worse to say we are no closer than we where 4 yerars ago

    Mascherano

Where is there any factually based reason for saying we are struggling with finances Last time I looked we spent about £45 million in the summer inluding the signing of the incredible torres The january transfer window has only just opened as well and no one knows what will happen yet. £17 million for a player who plays in the same position as gerrard, alonso, sissoko AND lucas is a lot of money for any team. If we can move sissoko on first to get some money in then fair enough but the owners are within their rights to say "Hang on, another £17 million in January after we have just spent £45 million in the summer to 'improve our league form'. Where are we in the league again ? " Its about time we had owners with a bit of business sense and who demand accountability, if we had that when houllier was in charge we might not have endured the financial catastrophe we did then. Mascerano is a brilliant little player and I think they will do a deal for him in the summer out of next summers transfer budget. But lets wait and see. He is on an 18 month loan deal which runs till next summer so there is no need to do a deal now. He wants to stay so what is the rush. Ridiculous the amount of hysteria surrounding the club at the minute with lots and lots of mischeif making in the press.

Jesus wept Vous êtes tous des lâches you are all acting like french you gang of whining, defeatist f'ckers Beat West Ham with our game in hand and we are 1 behind chelsea, 5 behind Utd and 7 behind Arsenal FOR F'CK SAKE Do me a favour and get a grip because this is ridiculous, really it is. We are not out of anything, especially given that the lower teams are all taking more points off the top teams this season. Its not about 90 points or 85 points its about getting more points than Arsenal and Utd and 5 and 7 points is by no means a huge lead
  17. Why is everyone getting giddy The global credit crunch means that we have had to get the architects to scale the plans back a bit as we can no longer afford to borrow the money required with the new higher rates of interest that we will have to pay Its got nothing to do with the americans commitment to the club etc Madness the hysteria that surrounds liverpool at the moment

  19. Mad isnt it - 6 players now The damage these nob ed's do to the cities reputation with incidents like this
  20. Mascerano is a doubt according to the echo he hobbled out of the staduim last night in some discomfort It will be a huge blow if Mascerano doesnt play, huge I think we will play the same team as last night if he is fit, if he is not fit we may play torres on his own with sissoko, lucas and gerrard in the middle. I think it is to big a game to have lucas holding behind gerrard in a midfield two to be honest
  21. I hope we get Real Madrid because we have played Barcelona and Milan loads lately But I think we could beat any of them to be hones and I do not fear anyone, they will all be sh'tting themselves hoping they dont get us
  22. To be honest he was absolutely atrocious against Reading and his form overall has been awful since mascerano joined and he deserves to be dropped tonight I think a move would be best for everyone if we can tie down mascerano long term and with lucas looking like he will emerge as a decent player

  24. Or the hundreds of p'ssed off reds walking out of a miserable f'ckin reading ground two weeks before xmas over a hundred quid down spent watching another b'ollock by the manager and another false dawn go by Beleive me mate - f'ckin loads of people at reading baffled by this Its not getting better, he is not learning by his mistakes. Fourth year now and its the same The players we have as well, its a f'ckin travesty it really is
  25. I do know, we would have f'ckin won We have been playing brilliant and we would have f'ckin battered them It was nothing to do with bad luck, we played f'ckin rubbish because the players couldnt get to grips with the system and the system did not work because we had no pace wide and no one to pass the ball in central midfield You have your head up your backside if you think poor decisions and bad luck cost us that, behave yeh self Why was gerrard taken off mate, was that bad luck ? Manager cost us that game not the ref.
