He's always looked like a player not sure what his role in the team was and always looked low on confidence. There must be some quality hidden somewhere if he won the golden ball in Brazil at such a young age, for me though he's just another player Rafa failed to get the best from.

Cant say Ive watched enough of Jova, but as far as Kuyt and Maxi go attacking-wise, compared to what other teams competing for titles have in this league and in Europe, they arent up to it. Kuyts a grafter, not a playmaker, and Maxi well, think hes a very tidy and intelligent player but we've been crying out for a pacy, decent winger for years now and neither fit the bill for me.

Think Gerrard could but we'd miss him going forward too much, especially now Yossi has gone and the others (bar Torres) just arent up to it attacking-wise. Ive got high hopes for Aquilani this year, think he'll convince a few of the doubters on here. Would love to see Pacheco given a run of games behind Torres if Gerrard does end up playing midfield at all this year.

Id say £25-30M or more and he can go, there are three first teamers already who can play that position if need be in Lucas, Aquilani and Gerrard. Money could be spent on a decent replacement for that position plus another.

Just my gut feel but I think Stevie and Nando will give it one more year and if we aren't in champions league again they will be allowed to leave for buy-out fees around the £30M mark each. I realise this is mockers material of Kahnee / Stevie H proportions but f*** it, that's my tuppence.
