I’ve got loads more respect for them. But I still don’t want them to win a thing. City winning is meaningless. United winning is very much not.

And when he’s 75 and still doing it, they’ll still have photos of him topless and articles about how he’s still winning the bleep tests.

It’s brilliant. Read the whole thing in his voice. Reckon he’s one of my favourite people in the world.

He’d get to work for a sporting powerhouse with an actual global brand. Rather than Manchester City.

Understand the irritation with him from some, the Chelsea flirtations were ridiculous drama at the time. However, he was clearly one of our best ever and us not having won the league with him was absolutely nothing to do with his attitude and everything to do with the dross he generally had to play with.

Reckon we had a period after Owen left when where we didn’t have any good ones. We were super lucky to have two world class ones in Owen and Fowler through the youth system and maybe just got accustomed to that. Rafa was brilliant at a lot but, Torres aside, wasn’t much kop at signing or developing forwards. Or maybe just didn’t have the money. Probably a bit of both. That’s mad. Beckham had many qualities, but speed and power weren’t either of them.

Yep. I’ve been down on his signing (not necessarily him) but he’s definitely good enough for a place in the squad.

I’m never sure why pushes that can lead to serious injury aren’t considered dangerous. You’re just as likely to be out for a long time from falling awkwardly after a reckless shove than you are from a bad tackle with the feet.

Can’t see it with him. I really can’t. He tries hard and is quick but has no first touch and can’t finish. He’s Djibril Cisse for me.

Yep. Agreed. A few players up top not good enough. Darwin and Diaz aren’t top drawer players. I’m not sure Gakpo is either. And if a big offer came in for Mo I’d consider it. No pace whatsoever and no goal threat outside the box anymore either.
