  1. Bobby was absolutely brilliant yesterday. His closing down and chasing lost causes is relentless.

    Welcome VvD

Gomez does get drawn too far in to the middle when the opposition right back/right mid has the ball. Noticed him a few times yesterday have to check himself, look over his shoulder at the oppo player(wide left) and move a good ten yards wider. So he was noticing it, but that was against very limited oppoesition. It's clear that right back is not his natural position. He's doing ok there, but he's having to really work at it, I think.
  3. It was brilliant. Sent 3 or 4 Watford players for The Echo.
  4. Two late spares have just become available. Main Stand Lower.
  5. Two separate threads Both started by you, just over 1 hour apart http://www.ynwa.tv/topic/161964-weirdest-football-fact/?do=findComment&comment=4211456
  6. Why do you think that won't now happen? Weather will be nicer in Spain a month later anyway. And it'll be outside the school holidays so flights will be cheaper. So many positives!
  7. We are in the quarter finals of the European Cup for the first time in years, against a team that we know we can beat ... and people are actually moaning.
  8. There seem to be a lot of 'tickets going missing in the post' recently.

Tough day. An all or nothing (stupid) saver on Laurina is the only thing that keeps me solvent for Friday.
  10. Are you saying that yours doesn't?

"Jamie has taken full responsibility for what has happened and we will ensure he gets the help he needs to guarantee something like this never happens again. Before the start of the next season we will sit down with Jamie to discuss whether he is ready to return to his role." So a short course in anger management, make up with the family in question, pay for the kid to go to Disneyland or some such publicity stunt (that is kept quiet ... but deliberately leaked), a donation to charity, concentrate on his Foundation's great work for 6 months, show contrition when he sits down with Sky execs in the summer ... and then carry on as if nothing ever happened. Everyone's a winner. He'll be on the lash in Kiev in May.
  13. Absolutely. The disbelief that I am currently hearing voiced by fans of other clubs is just the icing on the cake. Absolutely loving it. And the best bit, there's absolutely no need to rub it in. They're all tearing themselves apart over it. The worst/best I got from an Arsenal (??) fan last night, when I just said in all seriousness "it's a tough competition this one, you know" was "yeah we know, we've been in it for years". Well it was an open goal. I couldn't resist. Can you imagine if we won it? Ignoring how much fun it would be in itself, can you imagine how many fans/pundits in this country would just lose their heads?
  14. That's why I asked - the bit about your mate not being in a good place and not getting the tickets until a week before the match. On the bright side, it's on the telly.
