The interview he gave was absolutely fine. Just a case of "people playing the man, not the ball."* * Although of course "by fans for fans" remains prefererred.

He gave an interview last week, for which he was much derided (on here), saying how he'd turned a corner, was feeling confident etc. And he then had a good game and kept a clean sheet at the weekend. Who knew there was no link between giving interviews and playing poorly?

Have we all now forgiven him for the heinous crime of 'giving an interview' last week? He looked very confident yesterday, funnily enough reflecting what he said in aforementioned article. He's the only keeper on our books who might be good enough in the long-term, so really hope we stick with him - starting on Wednesday.

Lallana really picked things up when he came on. Silky swan he most certainly was. There was a definite sense of "there's someone who wants to start in midweek" - several people round me at the ground said/agree as much. Always looking for the ball, playing it simple, then stepping it up and pushing forward - and nearly scoring what would have been a lovely goal.
