This is precisely the point that I am making. I assume that the vast majority of those regular match thread posters never actually go to the game. The fact that you even refer to it as "going to the game together" (even in the way that you do) is quite interesting in itself. There are plenty of regular match thread contributors who are quite clearly d****eads - I really don't understand why you would have a problem with that being called out. The team they purport to "support" is irrelevant.

Yeah I get that at half-time and full-time - but actually during the match. I've ventured in on ocassion but it just seems weird to be watching the game and then taking time out to type what are usually quite ridiculous comments. I completely understand getting frustrated and swearing under your breath (or louder) at things that happen during the game ... it's the physical act of looking away from the game and taking the time and effort to then type that 'curse' that I don't get.

Hackett is speaking like he is the only one to have seen the ball deflect off Wijnaldum - but the fact that Gini touched it was obvious in real-time and every single replay since. I am not sure I get what his (new) point is, to be quite honest.
