I think Lucas's entire Liverpool career was summed up with his header against Stoke. No confidence. Whether or not there is a good player in there or not doesn't matter now. At this stage he just seems to me yet another player, who 9 times out of 10 offers nothing constructive on the pitch. Benayoun and Babbel this season have almost been as bad. Way too inconsitant, although at least they have on occasion done something positive on the pitch and made a difference. Another season with the team carrying 2 or more players and again it'll cost us. Our only hope is Alonso stays fit.
Of course you have to be a little disapponted with his form. However I look at him as a relacement for Voronin, so it's a step in the right direction. He does lots of things right and with a little more confidence I think we may just see the player we thought we bought. I also think Keane suffers more when Gerrard and Alonso are out of the picture. Playing Lucas instead of Alonso on Saturday was frickin insane IMO. He offers nothing in the middle. No drive no vision no passing. We may as well have Leonardsen back. I'm more concerened with Babbel & Benayoun. With only two form wide men, we desperatly need another quailty player in this area.
Sign her! If she can hit the cross bar that easily, we can train her to aim a little lower. http://www.uefa.com/trainingground/index.h...004/4096/548683
The news comes as a major blow for Benitez, who is already without Daniel Agger, Andriy Voronin, Alvaro Arbeloa, Fabio Aurelio and the suspended Xabi Alonso. Can you spot the link?
It doesn't help when half of the players on the pitch develop a 20 yard first touch and it really doesn't help when half your midfield develops a 60 yards pass out of play as a first touch. Rotation can't be blamed for losing the basic ability to play football. A joke of a performance.
