Good positive stuff on henderson and he may have a future in that role with Lucas still sidelined. If anything it will free up players like Allen/Sahin to play further forward, many have argued that his best position is centre mid and its clear he has more to offer there.

I would hope so, he is only 5.5m on the Fantasy football and I expect Rodgers to play him every week or flag it otherwise.

Carroll has to play? He looked like a man that was told to play for his semi-final place last night. I don't think the bitters would handle a attacking trio of Carroll, Suarez and Gerard. In addition he'll help no end when defending set pieces that they'll be keen to take advantage of given our keeper position. Not even going to pick a starting 11, just match them for workrate and determination and we'll beat them, we have the better players but in a semi final and in a derby that only gets you part of the way to winning.

I also think these runs came from the confidence that the front two where holding up the ball and finding the runs. In past games, this has been sloppy, last night Carroll was laying off quality ball to players rather than fancy flicks and knock downs that were in hope rather than with confidence. I was also surprised that Carroll had more time to find his man.

Yes of course but if your strongest XI are not physically up to it, are you putting yourself in a weaker position. Conditioning of players has to be a factor.
