Thats not what I'm saying and you know it, I haven't seen anything from Babel to think he is the answer to our problems. Nice to see you are using the popular scapegoats as examples, if you think Babel is the answer then you are wrong.
-
Ha Ha I remeber the way you reacted when I accused you of wanting him sacked. I wont agree with you because I'll be honest in my opinion and have been critical of Rafa but you only admit to wanting Rafa gone when it becomes a more popular opinion. Thats the truth of it but you will never admit it.
-
When has Babel ever really produced the kind of football to make him somebody you would want to start, the answer is very rarely and he certainly isn't somebody I would be putting my hopes on but you probably will, now he has become the popular answer.
-
Oh f**k off Wayne you idiot, you only claimed to think Rafa was the best man for the job after he was appointed. A bit like you only admitted to wanting him out when it became more popular, you actually copped the hump when you tested the water about him getting the boot and people called you for it. If you think I'd be happy for anyone to drag the club to the bottom then you are just being a t**t. So supporting Rafa, the manager of our club who finished runner up last year is a crime then so be it I'm glad I show a bit of loyalty and don't show my actual feelings until I see which way the majority appear to be going like you.
-
Jesus thats the way to make a point.....not
-
Ha hsa you are full of s**t, I was never against the appointment of Rafa, the conversation once Ged had gone was who was going to replace him and then magically once Rafa had been appointed you declared he was the man you would have made manager, despite never having mentioned him.
-
I'm sorry but how the hell do you say Babel looked good again tonight, he showed why he shouldn't start. He showed one or two good things but was poor the rest of the time, lets stop pretending he is something clearly he isn't, Monday night I would start Riera on the left.

If Rafa doesn't go I fear for yours. So I'm hoping I am fearing for your mental well being.

But as a form of protest and a way of grabbing the media attnetion and building momentum it has work very well, far better than anything SOS have managed so far, neither MUST or SOS are going to force the owners to sell but its about raising the profile of the campaign, to try and put pressure on the financial people, something SOS having pretty much failed at. Any protest or action needs to be continuous to keep the profile high within the own fan base and the media, the scarf campaign has worked in both respects, it will be interesting to see how they keep this going during the summer. SOS hold a couple of protests a season, a couple of meetings with Purslow etc, build no momentum and no real long term media buy in. Well I suppose they have arranged some cheap travel. I think more telling about the difference in campaigns is that I suspect there are probably more of our fans who know about the Manc protests than the billboards etc SOS have done.

Are you sure, its not like their debt and repayments were really that much of a shock. But still doesn't take away from the fact they have captured the medias attention in a way SOS can only dream of, but at least they have got cheaper travel for a few.
-
SOS have called for a meeting for those interested in assisitng in campaigns and action taken in the future, no doubt the press will report that one..... Sorry but SOS has been going for a hell a lot longer than the mancs campaign but have failed to get anywhere near the media interest the mancs have. The demonstrations etc have been too disjointed, with far too much time inbetween them, so there has been no momentum. In fact they have allowed themsleves to become side tracked by other non owenrship issues, in reality the mancs have put them to shame. Unfortunately the fears of some regarding the ineffectiveness of SOS have become a reality.

Wayne, stop trying to be clever to score cheap points, you know full well what I meant with the injuries, you have to accept as well there have been a number of games where we have played players who are clearly short of match fitness. There have been too many games which have been poor but unlike you I'm prepared to give him another season, we came close last year thats why I think he is the correct man for the job. With your way of thinking if a club challenges for the tilte then has a poor season, the manager has to go or what happens if the next manager comes in and does no better, does he go as well.
-
Of course I do, yes and I did watch it at the weekend and the Man Utd fans in the pub were moaning how poor they looked without Rooney. Where did you get that stat from because according to the BBC website its 18. I dont think its that high or as low as the 4 you have found.

What makes people think we are suddenly going to be able to give a manager, current or new a big war chest to spend? With these two in charge it isn't going to happen, they are skint. This season has been cr@p, no two ways about it, yes I think we have a squad with a nucleus which is good enough to challenge if the key players are fit, but unfortunately we haven't had that this season. Before people jump all over this point, I think we should have done better than we have and last night was disgraceful but I'm not quite prepared to jump onto lets sack the manager band wagon. We put in a terrific title challenge last year and then didn't get the spend to push on again, it should have been replace Arbeloa, Alonso and bring in an additional two or three quality players. Instead we could only replace those two, which we did well with Johnson who I think is an improvement on Arbeloa when fit, unfortunately Aquilani has turned into a bit of a nightmare. I would still give Rafa next season and hopefully a bit of a transfer kitty, which I think is wishful thinking on the transfer kitty front. All these names being bandied about is all well and good but its unlikely if Rafa goes, the new man will be an improvement because I think under the current owners with their financial arrangements, we will end up with a manager who wont be from the top drawer.
-
I have to disagree, last year they had Rooney to step in on the rare occassions Ronaldo didn't run the game for them. This year they only have Rooney who can consistently play at that sort of level, no way with Berbatov.
-
Kev, it wasn't meant to single you and Ant out but a moan about the vast majority who have decided insult trading to be the way forward. I just ignore you and Ant now
-
I think the only thing that can stop the club declining is getting an owner(s) who run the club properly and don't use any profit to serive their debts, which would allow a manager to at least try and compete in the transfer market. Until then whoever is manager will just be firefighting and trying to paper over the ever increasing cracks. Oh and David Moyes . NOOOO!!!
-
I was wondering earlier in the season after a defeat how low and childish this forum could become, well we have now found out. Its absolutely pathetic, two sides just chucking increasingly childish insults at each other, posters even doing sheep impressions. Yes Kev and Ant can be extremely annoying sometimes in the way they put their points over but you know what they are going to say, so if it winds you up to the point where all you can do is trade insults, ignore the threads they start. This thread is like being in a school playground, except occupied by people alleging to be adults, it makes the forum unreadable.

I haven't seen the detail of this, but one of the negatives about redeveoping Anfield is the fact of the reduced gate, poorer atmosphere and reduced revenue coming in over the period of the redevelopment.
