  2. Klopp also said: “Our eyes are always open. We always look. What happens if and when but nothing to say in the moment.” My Kremlinology of that quote (henceforth to be known as Kemlynology) is that we have options lined up if certain players decide to leave (eg. Lallana, Origi, Mignolet)

  13. Cheers, that’s in the piece I posted there, which also suggests the agent and Fekir haven’t been in contact since the deal collapsed. The same agent was the one who sponsored Edwards recently for his marathon run. Other links over the last 24 hours... Lewandowski Hazard (but only Thorgan) Wolves LB Vinagre... (Great with chips apparently.)
  14. Hmmmm... NABIL FEKIR passed his Liverpool medical and even had pictures taken in a Reds shirt, according to his soon-to-be former agent. The World Cup winner was poised to join Liverpool before last summer’s tournament but the Premier League title chasers pulled out at the eleventh hour. Fekir was being tipped as Philippe Coutinho’s replacement after the star left for Barcelona in January 2018. While the reasons why Liverpool pulled the plug on the deal were never confirmed, the attacker’s ex-agent has now shed further light on the chaotic ordeal. Jean-Pierre Bernes is no longer in contact with Fekir after the transfer broke down. “It is not about staying here,” Bernes told L’Equipe, when questioned whether his former client will stay at Lyon. “And we will know maybe the real circumstances that prevented Fekir’s move to Liverpool. “The knee was a part of it, but not only that. “He had passed a medical, done photos with the Reds shirt…” Fekir’s mandate wth Bernes is set to expire on April 17, when the Frenchman will find new representatives. The 25-year-old is out of contract next summer which has left Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas sweating over losing the star on a free transfer. L’Equipe are also reporting that Fekir has rejected a preliminary contract extension from the club. In a recent interview with Telefoot, he insisted that he is still assessing his options regarding his future. “Liverpool?” Fekir said. “It’s part of a player’s career, but it makes you stronger and you have to move forward. “I really don’t know what I will do [this summer] but as I said, I feel good in Lyon, the president trusts me, that’s good. You will see [if I extend my contract].” Liverpool have believed to have cooled their interest and are unlikely to return for the playmaker this summer. ******* If memory serves there were some rumours of agents demanding extra fees/ clashing agents last summer too.
  15. L’Equipe suggesting we’re keeping track of Depay and that he wants out of Lyon at the end of the season.

  17. Good that he saved the milestone for someone deserving.
  18. I’m guessing it was probably scored by Coutinho.
  19. They’re all Mike Riley’s boys. Its no coincidence that they’re this poor and completely lacking in consistency.
  20. Rabiot was at the match apparently. Sorry, ignore that... turns out it wasn’t him.
  21. Our passing. Seriously what is going on? They were mentioning nerves during the commentary. But we’ve been having trouble finding our men with relatively simple passes all season. Tottenham are a good side who will gobble up any loose passes. We had way, way too many today. I know we got the 3 points and that our general performance levels have been high (hence our league position). But I also think the slackness we’ve been showing in our passing game this season has been our single biggest flaw.
  22. Was thinking the exact same. Fabinho was the difference.
  23. That’s not true about Ronaldo and freebies. Higuain, signed July 2016 €90m. Cancelo, signed last summer €40.4m. Costa signed last summer after being on loan €40m. Bernardeschi, signed summer before last €40m. Dybala signed four summers ago €40m. Pjanic signed same summer as Higuain €32m. Matuidi signed summer before last €25m. *I know you said “seem” but they’ve been scooping up fairly high profile players for significant fees for several years.
  24. Marca seem to be going big today on Zidane wanting Mane. He is supposedly Zidane’s main target, even ahead of Hazard. Also have referred to us as a ‘selling club’ apparently. The suggestion is we will use the Coutinho price as a guide.
