Thought there were probably slightly more suitably options than Shaqiri on the market alright (particularly if we're not getting Fekir), but could certainly see the appeal. Low transfer fee, good age, proven in the Premier League and we were crying out for experienced cover in the wide forward roles. Vida though is 29, wouldn't be that cheap (approximately £20m), had only joined Besiktas last January on a free and from what I saw of him at the World Cup, seems to play on the left side of central defence. Don't get it unless it is to cover a potential Klavan departure.
