How about Rickard? I can see them changing this season (which may be a concern in and of it's self), but he may be worth a punt - he'll know the Spainards, has won one of the big leagues and plays good attacking football?

The latest comments from Hicks about taking a more active role would tie into a theory that he's buying out Gillette. Whataf***ingnightmare.

I was in Holland yesterday chatting about footie (not the reason I was there sadly) and everyone said Babel will be a great player in a yrs time and the Kuyt is s**** just a hard worker. I posted something similar late last year but the funny thing is these were different people just with the same opinions. The Ajax fans just laughed when I said Kuyt wasn't working out - they said "I bet he's working hard though" and laughed.... As for Huntelaar what I've seen of him and from what I've heard from Holland he is similar to Fowler - ie he's not particluarly fast, strong or skilful but he really does know how to finish. I'd like to see us sign him as I've followed him for a few years now but as much as anyone he'd either be a spectacular hit or a bad miss. I'd bet on a hit though.

I know this thread is about Mourinho but what would you do if we appointed Klinsmann?!?! That thought fills me with dispair...

Firstly I want Rafa to stay - but if he goes I'd support Rafa. If however Klinsmann was brought in (mentioned again today by the press) I could see the club collapsing with so many players trying to head out of the door it'd be a stampede. I'd never stop supporting the club but I could see a lot of m enthusiasm waning.

Absolute horsecrap. If they wanted the money that badly they should have moved the game to Anfield - then they'd have been quids in. But they wanted home advantage and the money. Maybe we should give them a goal start as well....

Aye "the best fans in the world" booed Emre coming off because they wanted it to be Smith, they booed Smith getting Newcastles MOM cause he's s***e, they shouted you don't know what you're doing at Sam for his subs and it was them singing Big Sam for England. To be fair it really added to my enjoyment

I forgot to mention his thoughts on Kuyt (bear in mind Ajax and Feyenoord's hatred of each other) - he thought he was a hard worker and nothing else.

I was chatting with a long time Ajax fan this week (season ticket holder) and he was waxing lyrical about Babel saying he felt that he could be one of the very best players in the world over the next few years. He said he's a bit raw but with the right coaching he had all the assets and that they were gutted to lose him. I asked him about the right position for him and he was adament it wasn't as a striker as whenever he played there for Ajax (usually if Huntelaar was dropped/injured) he looked s****. I asked him about Huntelaar and he says it looks like he'll move in next year - possibly in Jan, he thought the price would be €30m (approx £21m) which I think is a little high. He thought he'd go to Chelsea. I asked what he thought of Huntelaar and he smiled saying he was a wonderful striker. I asked him about pace and said average, I asked about his 1st touch and he said average but the boy is just a natural finisher, left foot, right foot, headers. Just thought I'd share this as I always like to talking with Europeans about their view on players. He's gonna take me to a game next time I'm over and he said there is huge respect between Ajax and Liverpool - he also thought Gerrard and Torres were great players.

I'm very surprised a Top 4 didn't come in for him - I heard it was because his form dipped last year and he has a lack of pace (I'd dispute that though). A bit like Paul Robinson when he went to Spurs.

I said after 20 mins that the Ref would cost us the game - at the time I thought he'd send someone off but feck me he did the same job just in a different manner.

I hope so - but I seem to recall Josemi having a very good start to his LFC career
