It's all very cloak and dagger this transfer window (is it open?), very much like last season's closed season. The world + dog were saying we were skint, and our dealings were over after signing babel, benayou, voronin etc. Then wham, Torres. If Juve can't stump up 15m for our Xabi, then someone else will. He's a top drawer player probably worth more than that. But if we get 15m for him, we mustn't spend more than 10, maybe 12m on Barry otherwise the world will stop spinning for sure. When do the new rules come in with regards to fielding home grown players in european competition? because selling Alonso and buying Barry may prove to be a very shrewd move indeed. is this why Rafa has his eyes on so many Englishmen?

He's a great little player who had an off game. Just don;t understand people writing him off. He's had some storming games last season and this, for a player of his age his potential, and current ability, are both great.

I thought we had more chances, did Stevie not have more chances than their whole team? For all their passing they found it very difficult to break us down, and much of their passing was backwards.

They were going down far too easily. The slightest touch. we did scythe a few of them down though. good point while off form.

I think we should play our strongest possible 11, fitness depending, and use games like derby at home as a statement of intent. We should be scoring for fun against all but the top sides.

Thought he looked good for 15 minutes but tired quickly. lots of stepovers - surely that won over some of a certain element on here? thought he looked OK for a 20yr olds first game at Anfield. bit of patience and I think he wil come good. now, Lucas on the other hand, we've got a live one there.

All our strikers are in the 'top' strikers, and all offer something unique. Each one of them can come on as a sub and change the game. Sadly for Crouch two of our other strikers are borderline world class, and he needs to improve his finishing and headery to join them knocking at that door. He's proven in the last 18months that he is Englands most consistent striker, and I think that shows just how good he is. It would be a shame for us to lose him, and it's an incredible thought that almost overnight we find ourselves in a position where he's 3rd or 4th in the pecking order. He's proven himself at the highest level and it would be a waste of his talents to move to a team like Postsmouth and back into mediocraty.

agree we seem to have some confidence this year that has been missing from Rafa down to Riise we are looking confident.

I think it's good, it stands out well and makes our players essy to spot.

Another one from Rugby should be blood replacements. A temporary sub for bleeding players, so we are not down to ten men while one of our players is being stitched up because the opposition are elbow wielding hooligans

it did look yesterday that where as last season and before we would try and unpick the lock for the full 90 minutes, where as yesterday it appeared that rafa whipped out a sledgehammer in the last 10 minutes to try and force the issue. we wuz robbed.

In yesterday's case it should have been a freekick to us for the foul on Finnan, and a yellow (or straight red) for Malouda for simulation.

That was awful, and Malouda should be reprimanded for cheating as it was so blatent. do you think it was rehearsed?
