Not a single post in the match thread for today's match since thursday. And kick off is in two hours. Sign of the times.
Hopefully Ekitike is fit to start.
Sitting on our hands while Semenyo and Guehi both go to City is baffling considering how stretched our squad is.
Maybe we tried and they turned us down but it doesn't seem like it.
Some great goals from us but the performance was more of the same. Jones and Mac strolling around like they’re 5-0 up in their own testimonial does my head in.
Thankfully Barnsley ran out of steam 2nd half or that could have been more tense than it was.
4-1 though. Good result in the end.
We’re more solid than I expected. They haven’t created much.
Frimpong dropping next to Bradley means there’s not much chance of a counter though. Gakpo is too slow and Wirtz is dropping into midfield to help move the ball forward.
What is the point of 4-5 attacking players all standing still in a straight line with no one making any runs??
We do it every game so I assume it’s tactics. But what is the point? What is meant to happen if it works?
