  1. Imagine Salah's form drops after AFCON.
  2. With his lack of form and the absolute mess the season’s been so far it’s easy to forget that he’s a world class finisher.
  3. I know Slot wants control but we would make it much easier for ourselves if we countered every once in a while. West Ham had committed there but when Alisson caught it we just jogged up the pitch and played it short.
  4. Another good ball for Gakpo who can’t control it.
  5. s***e.
  6. We struggle against teams that exist so I'm not too optimistic about this one.
  7. I'd take Alonso. What he did at Leverkusen isn't far off what Klopp did at Dortmund. He's got a job though and he's currently top of La Liga, in the top 8 in the CL and he's got a tune out of Mbappe which is Perez' wet dream. I'm sure he'll get sacked at some point anyway but the timing needs to be right for us. Is Ancelotti working? He always knows how to win for a few years. EDIT: yes. Apparently he's working on the beach in Brazil. Not a bad gig that.
  8. Hard to fathom that we just got spanked by PSV at home. Couldn’t have wished for a better fixture to get some some momentum going. The team is broken and there hasn’t been any signs of improvement since it started to go wrong. If fact, it’s getting worse with every performance.
  9. Gone a bit under the radar how poor Gravenberch has been this season. Started well first couple of games but he looks so low on confidence now. Like the rest of them.
  10. Not sure how you get a better run of games than Forest and PSV at Anfield at this level and we got absolutely battered.
  11. That and the insistence on a slow build up. All teams are well-drilled if you give them enough time to get organised. Knocking it around at the back for ages makes no sense in the modern game. PSV committed plenty of men forward, but never really got pulled out of shape because we let them regroup. We’ve done it time and time again this season and it’s madness. But it’s what Slot wants to do and it’ll cost him his job.
  12. It’s mad that a manager could get sacked a few months after winning the league but this is terminal. He has no idea what to do and the players have given up. It’s over.
  13. All the time in the world to pick that pass. Players backing off. Midfield nowhere to be seen. Shambles.
  14. Feels like the first time we’ve seen Kerkez with license to get forward like that.
  15. Sorry, we don’t do that here.
  16. I had a knee injection on Monday and I fancy myself to be an improvement on Konate.
  17. Remember these being quite attacking last season. They were at home but still. Might give us a bit more space to play in. Would be great if we move the ball forward quickly instead of politely passing it around at the back until the opposition is back in position in their low block.
  18. Yep. Slow build up play. Two wide forwards who cut in and two full backs who underlap into an already crowded area because most teams defend in a low block against us. Unless a blocked shot lands at his feet, it's hard to see how we get Isak on the ball in the box.
  19. Aye, I know he's considered a bit of a golden boy in Germany and they usually know their football but I've never really been that impressed with his teams. I might change my mind if Germany win the werld cup.
  20. Forest pushing for a fourth in the dying minutes instead of taking it to the corner was damning. They were really enjoying themselves in what should have been their hardest game of the season.
  21. He plays like he's constantly surprised by how a football moves. Misjudges every bounce.
  22. We did nothing with six corners before they got their first and scored. Do we have a set piece coach? If we have a set piece coach, he should be first out the door.
