Is this the one where we equalize before conceding late goal?

Young keeper, apparently.

I'm happy with that line up. It often ends up as a bit of a mess when you make that many changes but it feels like we need to try something. Happy with Wirtz, Isak and Ekitike starting together. And happy with Frimpong's pace from full back. Hopefully he'll be allowed to go forward. Hope it works and we get a win. Controversial, I know.

Frimpong at full back?

Agreed something's not right. Slot wants to build up from the back but two of our midfields push up and only one of our defenders is comfortable passing through the lines. It's a problem and teams have worked it out. If they close down Van Dijk and Grav we struggle because Kerkez, Bradley and Konate aren't good passers (one brilliant pass from Konate aside). We really need to find a solution to that. At the moment teams just let Konate stand there with the ball for ages or watch as Kerkez and Bradley pass it down a blind alley.

Thought the subs all did reasonably well. We looked better on the ball with them on the pitch. But winning football games is really hard when you concede two as often as we do this season. We rarely take the lead anymore.

Three league games on the bounce now where we find an equaliser and then throw it all away. We're so fragile. Really, really frustrating.

They’re not even defending well now. Just need a bit of sharpness up front. Come on lads!

Crazy miss from Salah

They’re first to every loose ball. We can’t allow that to happen. Especially at Anfield. Mbeumo and Amad doubling up on Kerkez keeps causing us problems. Mac Allister or Gakpo need to help out more. And as much as I hate to go on about the b*****ds, you can’t really talk about that half without mentioning Michael Oliver. He’s like a man possessed. c***.

Bayern look better this season. Will be interesting to see them against the big teams in the Champions League. Kane, Diaz, Olise is a great front three. If we'd signed Kane instead of Nunez we'd be looking to clinch our 30th league title this season. Maybe more.

Salah yesterday. Bradley v Gala. The one Ekitike missed from close range recently. Wirtz has had a difficult start but the conversation would be very different if his team mates had put a few chances away.

It’s been a while since we’ve looked this disjointed. It’s weird that we were top of the league but not playing well so we were all waiting for us to kick into gear. Instead we’ve turned into a shambles. So much to work on.

We've got a 29m backup goalkeeper, so hopefully it won't be a problem. But Alison's saved us quite a few times this season already.

We have bigger issues but our inability to head a ball is puzzling. Endo and Grav costing goals with bizarre defensive headers while Konate and Bradley waste easy chances. Get Andy Carroll in.

Had a few chances to get something but not cynical enough. Ekitike's 1v1, Wirtz putting it on a plate for Bradley, Konate's header... But we were crap and didn't really deserve anything. Disappointing performance for the second time in a few days. Need to work harder which is the least you can expect. Then the rest will come.

That’s the biggest issue. We struggle to dictate play and impose ourselves on games. Even against inferior opposition. More concerned about that than any individual performances.

Shame Ekitike didn’t score the one on one before the pen. But we’ll get more chances here.

Apparently the Galatasaray fans have been celebrating the Premier League champions outside our hotel. Fireworks and everything. Great bunch of lads.

Mateta, Beto, Wood. He s***s his kegs against physical strikers too often. Gomez was just as bad against Southampton though.
