I can't work our what his role in our build up is. He jogs forward and just stands in attack in a straight line with the forwards. Almost like an extra striker. I assume it's a sort of false 9 thing but we just rarely seem to get the ball to him because that area of the pitch is so crowded. It's weird how often we have two midfielders static in the forward line while the defenders are huffing and puffing to work the ball into midfield. It wasn't as bad yesterday because we were playing against 10 men but it's clearly been a tactic this season and I'm not sure the players know how to make it work.

Big 3 points but f***ing hell, lads. Completely shat the bed. Spurs were dirty c**** though. Thought they were lucky to finish that with 9 men which is mad.

The risk-averse passing and slow tempo means we don't really create anything but we still commit enough men forward to get caught out on the break. If you're going to be slow and predictable, at least be solid. I'd get Frimpong on for Bradley to get a bit of pace in the side and maybe Isak for Mac. Wirtz the only one who looks like he can make something happen. Dom looks tired (understandable, I guess).

No need for Ekitike to be standing outside the box next to Kerkez and Wirtz while we’re attacking. Get in the box, lad.

Was everywhere first half. Does have a tendency to play with his head down when running with the ball. Missed a few good opportunities to pass to team mates in better positions. But can't have too many complaints when your striker scores two. Hope we keep creating this many opportunities for our strikers. It's been a while.

Not often we create this many opportunities for our striker. Ekitike has had 4 decent chances already. Wirtz creating loads here.

Feels like a game we’ll win comfortably if we up the tempo. But for what ever reason, we don’t do that anymore. Slot seems to prefer the slower/patient build up.

Agree on Bradley but he's suspended for Brighton. And since Gomez and Bradley are actually fit at the same time, which feels like a one in a million chance, it was actually a chance for Slot to try a defence without Konate in it. But maybe he isn't as sick of Konate's constant mistakes as we are and prefers Konate to Gomez.

No. Not that Gomez. I'm talking about the Gomez who's starting at right back. While Bradley, who's a right back and is suspended for the weekend, is on the bench.
