Very impressed with that Coleman lad. Knowing Everton there'll be a DVD celebrating his career out for Christmas and he'll be playing for Daggenham and Redbridge in a couple of years.

Our chief title rivals have lost two of their three best players in Ronaldo and Tevez, without replacing them. We've kept our best players, lost a very good one in Alonso, improved at the back and have added a more offensive midfielder to the squad. Can't see anything to be gloomy about.

He's why I was so surprised we were being linked with Tevez in the summer - he's just as good and works harder.

Graham Hunter on Irish radio there, saying that we want £35million for Alonso, and Madrid will pay this if they can raise the cash by selling players. Says we turned down a cash + Wesley Snjeider deal as Benitez will only let Alonso go if he can get the cash to get in Silva and Martinez. Apparantly we've been in talks over getting Silva in since before the end of the season.
