Has Mason ever reffed a game at Anfield or do we only get the c*nt for away games? He's already sent 3 of ours off this season so odds on that we'll have at least one sending off against us today.

Isn't Purslow supposed to be a good, and long standing, friend of Dalglish? Not saying that it necessarily means he has the clubs best interests - as opposed to H+G's - but might be indicative of his I think also that Morgan had said that he had been a critic of Moores previously and had criticised him in annual meetings?

Going to the Olympics seemed to be the turning point for him. At the start of the season he was expected to push on a play a major role but - for whatever reason - after coming back from the Olympics it seemed that he had dropped down the priority list - immediately obvious when Torres went off against Villa only for the totally inexperienced Ngog to be the chosen sub ahead of him. He is so much not a Rafa player that I'm amazed he's been here so long.

And it was worth risking Aquilani - as opposed to say Spearing - to protect the result? I'm not debating the last minute sub - just what benefit it gave for it to be Aquilani? Will he suddenly feel so much more confident and fitter for that 30 seconds? He looked totally bemused to me as to why he was comng on.

So dont play him on a below par pitch against an opposition who's main aim is to keep the score down and who are giving our midfield players time on the ball but instead save him for a 100mph derby against a rabid Everton playing their cup final who will kick anything in Red? AA needs game time - today was a perfect chance to give him the opportunity. Can anyone give any reason why bringing him on for 30 seconds would be in any way beneficial?

People keep saying this as if we've suddenly found this money down the back of the sofa. The money due on Crouch would have already been factored into our finances - either as part of the transfer fund for this season or - in a similar fashion - for payments we owe to other clubs on previous transfers.

Its the Malmaison. Most teams seem to stay at the Radisson - Spurs certainly did last season - remember seeing them walking along Old Hall St at lunchtime.

I think part of the problem is that the 2nd choice keeper doesn't actually play many competitive games as - apart from the odd player coming back from injuries - the 1st team squad no longer play reserve games. Dudek made the point last season after his poor performances against Arsenal that he couldn't get match sharp purely from training - part of it may well have been excuses for poor performances but imo a lot of what he said is very valid.

Not all his goals in 2005 where when he was playing on the right though. I think Kev did a very useful analysis showing most where actually scored when he played CM.
