He’s as good a technical player as I’ve seen come through in England. Pretty sure he’s left footed, but it’s hard to tell most of the time. He’s played two beautiful through balls with his right in this game.

Hard not to look at the last couple of games and not say Gakpo has been a real issue this season. The constant cutting in and wasting promising opportunities and loss of width. Think he needs some bench time when he’s back, hoping to see Chiesa play there. Kerkez looked better for not having him in front of him as well. Gakpo has had 36 shots with 7 on target this season in the PL which is absolutely dreadful.

Refusing to involve him in the Guehi deal was really daft. Just constantly injured.

That Konate giving away one of the thickest pens anyone has ever seen at a time when Leeds carried no threat had no impact on the rest of the game?

Being obtuse here Sammy, it’s obvious momentum changes in football matches and incidents have a knock on effect on the atmosphere and flow of games.

I don’t think he sees it like that at all. Hes been chatting bubbles about how VVD gets all the credit wheh he should be MOM all the time, and flashing his knickers at PSG, Madrid etc. Its his own lack of self awareness and application that’s got him to where he is. Virtually every error he makes is poor concentration. His head is elsewhere.

The weird thing is we were told in one of the many ‘Richard Hughes is the smartest guy in the room’ briefings that Slot had been chosen due to the similarities in style with Jurgen. Unless the players really have have downed tools this is nothing like his style, there is no high press, it’s far more passive and slow in the build up.

Glasner is surely the best candidate by miles isn’t he? Done an exceptional job with Palace, and minimal compensation due to his contract being in its last year.

Play anyone there - Endo, Robbo whoever could do it without giving away a goal every game. The message to the rest of the squad is appalling. I’ve rarely ever seen a professional footballer play with so little application or concentration. He’s been an absolute disgrace to the shirt, but his continued selection is on Slot.

Mo must be watching the likes of that absolute buffoon Konate and the relentlessly predictable Gakpo play week in week out and asking why he’s on the bench. I don’t disagree his form wasn’t great but there is no accountability in other areas of the squad. Konate is playing and acting like he doesn’t give a f*ck, on the back of refusing to sign a contract and there he is in the team every week. His handing has made Slot look incredibly weak.

Slot could really do with Loris Karius putting some holiday instagram photos up right about now to distract everyone.

I wish Mo would take it out on Konate.

If Slot can’t deal with a low block he’s in the wrong job. One thing we are desperately lacking in conquering that is intensity and speed in our passing. There were a few who questioned how well Isak would adapt to playing against a low block as he’s more of an off the shoulder type of striker.

I watch Wirtz and Ekitike especially and see brilliant footballers whose ability is being totally wasted due to the setup of the team and coaching. Jurgen would walk the league with this squad. Out of his depth, has to go. Looks like he just rode the coattail’s of Jurgen’s last days and got lucky now.

Slot isn’t fixing this, he’s completely lost. No idea what he’s trying to do. Lost all our identity, intensity, energy. Everything expected of a Liverpool team.
