I was under the impression they apologised once (was around the time Rooney did something with them) but their decision to retain Mackenzie as a columnist led people to believe they had reneged on that apology. Essentially, my point is that personally, I would have no problem with anyone if they walked up to me and said they worked for The Sun. But if they said they were Kelvin Mackenzie, I'd probably maim them. I also agree that a NOTW boycott would be ridiculous as they never printed anything malicious, and would detract from any present methods of action.

I've no idea. But my other points stand. It's him who should be the focus of our ire. He used The Sun to peddle his own brand of disgraceful, dangerous journalism.

This is boring. You should all just boycott Kelvin Mackenzie. The man is scum, a bully, abused a position of power and is unrepentant. Of all the people who should have been got at, he has gotten away with it completely and has taken an odd kind of profit from the entire situation. It raised his profile, helped him get other jobs, helped him get a better life. And the whole thing was entirely of his making - it was his editorial decision, his story. Berating Gerrard, Carragher, Bascombe or anyone else for going to the News of the World, or even The Sun for that matter, is putting them on a par with Mackenzie - which is simply unforgiveable. Also, too many people on here and other forums who aren't of an age to know what truly happened at the time are being fed misinformation - and we all know what can happen when that happens.

I like Cisse. Let's not forget he's played in a European and FA Cup final for Liverpool, scored important goals in both and we won both games. And the European Super Cup as well. The odd thing about these toilet bowl photos is that I actually think the ground looks really good! For those who have seen it, does it state which end is where - is the Kop now on the other side (near Priory Road) and is the Anfield Road End transparent (ie largely made of glass)?
