My son stayed over yesterday and we binged on transfer videos on YouTube, whilst having few smokes, and he asked “are American owners making cash available because they know Trump will devalue the dollar at some stage soon, so they can make cash available now and get the currency converted while the dollar is more valuable?”. It made sense while we were stoned. As did our mad conspiracy theory on Liverpool and Newcastle agreeing a deal already but holding off until they have replacements lined up so they don’t get shafted on increased transfer fees. This also requires the charade of Isak huffing off to Spain and Newcastle not really being in for Ekitike but pretending so that they can justify buying another replacement to “play alongside Isak”. This may mean that the deal won’t be done until January if the replacements can’t be bought until then. We decided that if we were gonna go into conspiracy thinking then we may as well go the whole hog. It was a very funny night.

Guehi may be a decent signing but I’d like to think we are dicking Newcastle around by showing interest in him. Fanciful, I guess, but I’d really like Newcastle to let Isak join us.
