Listening to it at the time i dont think he meant it as a joke. One of the other pundits mentioned Villa Park as an alternative neutral venue to Athens for a Liverpool v Man U champions league final. I think he mentioned Hillsborough in the same breath as Villa park as for many years they were the traditional neutral venues for the FA cup semis not as a joke, he just didnt think what he was saying when he said Hillsborough and Liverpool. If they had been talking about a Chav v Manc final i think the same comments ref Villa Park and Hillsborough would still have been made. Just a thick c***, not an evil c***.
Yes. If you can honestly say that whilst in a temper you have never made a personal comment relating to a persons weight, looks, colour, religion, etc than you can only be either a saint or a liar.
My original beef is not to do with womens involvement in sport. I was trying to point out that any one sex dominated activity(using sport as an example) would provoke comments from said dominant sex when the s*** hit the fan. Its not sexism its just human nature. We all bitch.
No. An hypothesis. I personally don't have any sort of problem with women being involved in football. I just can't stand the fact the he isn't even allowed to make a comment in the heat of the moment after his team has just lost. None of you know him well enough to brand him sexist. Ok, he has made a silly comment but in all honesty do any of you know if she is any good.
