  1. Me too. And there's plenty of chance that there isn't. As this would suggest.
  2. I dunno. The stadium is bound to incur debt, it's that or nothing I guess. The quote about RH is more worrying. Here's hoping it's a short term point of view.
  3. Me either. He looks like a decent enough player with some brains, but I haven't seen anything to suggest he might be top quality like some of the midfielders we've lost recently.
  4. At risk of sounding Woodsyla-ish... they couldn't afford any resistance
  5. Merely because to even stay in the game they had to make interest payments over the summer, and Rafa didn't look like he was going to play along with that.
  6. And of those 4, how many do you think wanted RH? It's 2 tops, isn't it? How many would have preferred an English manager? Again, 2 at the most, right? I'm not quite sure what the point about selling Gerrard and Torres is. The way it looks is that Mascherano was the one who was going to be sold regardless. Sacking Rafa merely cleared the way for the only route by which the previous owners could even dream of holding onto control of the club - refinancing by whatever means necessary.
  7. Last year the times featured a front page splash which read 'SWINE FLU: MILLIONS MAY DIE' Their front page means f*** all.
  8. Shame they're such a bunch of c****
  9. Or some guessing and made up stuff at the end?

    Carra

He didn't actually say definitively did he? He suggested that 2 big name players wanted out I hear ya, but there are a lot of the 'rank and file' that think Rafa was a 'defensive manager' and that zonal marking set pieces doesn't work.
  11. Lesson there to those who think we can't get relegated. Already in a position where a win isn't catching the teams above us.
  12. I think that's overstating it *a bit* but I agree that the impact on the team when Riera arrived was amazing, and we played a lot of the best football of Rafa's reign with him stretching play on the left.
  13. Good to Lucio make one of the 4 best defenders of all time. Agree about the insanity of the Maldini comments. I know that these things are 'supposed to cause a debate' but stuff like picking Lucio is just being wilfully full of s****.
  14. A google search may disappoint you
  15. Unexpected bonus: Dutch stream, pronunciation of N'gog legendary.
  16. Positive spin - we could get back there in the same amount of time...
  17. Hahaha, this is genius. You have to hope that there are a few people out there who know their 'football onions'. The way we're approaching this match, like we're accrington stanley and they are brazil 1970, it's f***ing shameful. On the other hand... a few battling performances out there for what it's worth. But it's Liverpool, f***ing Liverpool. I'm gutted we're associated with this Hodgson fellow.
  18. Hahaha. If you need to ask...
  19. I still have that gruesome fascination thing going on with us atm
  20. You'd think so wouldn't you? But the effect on the team has not been good at all so far. And look like they could do with a back up forward rather than a back up midfield terrier...
  21. Not really. Carragher did at least talk about leaving in an interview. In the hunt for reality it's pretty much the only example of someone saying that. Then, yeah, after the fact it is something that could be interpreted as significant IF YOU WANT to do so. I don't really. Not enough evidence to support any of the theories are there?
  22. And didn't get the cash for Jovetic who was also part of the replace Xabi plan, who promptly played a major role in dumping us out of the CL edit - Heighway has a point, but at least there was a plan to evolve the team. Take away half of the plan, and no wonder it didn't really work out. I always read Torres' statements (and Reina more directly) as being aimed at the owners - invest, or I'll think about leaving I don't think there's anything concrete about Torres or Gerrard leaving unless you believe the 'i know stuff but i can't say what' posters. Carragher DID say in an interview he would leave if he had to in order to find first team football. At the time that seemed like a fairly innocent, typically bullish comment. For me it might have become a bit more of a calculated thing to say if there is any truth to the rumours of Carra being the main driving force behind pushing Rafa out (from the playing staff, at least).
  23. I think some people are seriously underestimating the difficulty of managing us. Yes, RH is making an unbelievable f*** up of it, but it's gonna take some proper nous to get us out of this.
  24. So would I. Disagree. It's a man's job, this one.
