Love the way they backed him yesterday. Very positive. Also can't wait to see Carroll in red - never thought we'd be in for him, and tbh I haven't seen that much of him, but I thought he was excellent against us. Suarez... let's hope Tim Vickery is right about him.

Based on the evidence available, it would seem that the answer to that is that when asked to demonstrate the availability of funds they either couldn't or (for whatever reason) didn't. If true, then that looks like plenty of reason not to take them seriously. Liverpool were a total bargain last summer. It's hardly surprising we had all sorts talking up their interest. NESV's offer is the only one of which there is any real evidence of being serious.

One of those games where 2 years back you'd be thinking Rafa will sort this by changing things a bit at half time, but on a poorish run like we are you can't help getting a bit nervous at the lack of ideas as the half goes on.
