  2. I think that Deschamps also increased his power at the club last summer and for the first time has had control over the transfers. Also, I think the 'ultras' there have a close relationship with one of the top boys, maybe the chairman? And run the ticket sales a la Serie A style, so there's a lot to weigh in the balance about Deschamps and his situation Some good young talent come through to help him, such as Belhanda, and now Cabella when Belhanda got injured, but no doubt about it they are overachieving hugely this year. Not sure he would a good fit for us, though.
  3. He would be right not to, but he might fancy stability over recklessness
  4. If anyone from FSG is reading, offer £35M for that number 9
  5. Boss goal that from Cisse, great movement
  6. Acute in this case means sudden onset. Very aggressive, but they react much better to chemotherapy. *fingers crossed* Survival rates for this are pretty good.

I'll say it for you, Dus, if I may. Anyone who has applauded Kenny for his treating the media with disdain and hero worshipped him for his cutting one liners, and is now on his case for making excuses to the media is a c***. Anyone who replies to this saying that you never, you're definitely a complete c***. * standard 'this is not a bring-back-Rafa' disclaimer applies to this post

Never use anything else but Crown paint, myself. And listen to the match on a Hitachi midi system.

Fifth place would have been decent regardless, but no way it will happen now.

No, hopefully he turn us into a boss football team.

Which is funny, because I see it as not getting much leeway from the fans, certainly not as much as he deserves, but much more likely that the owners will prefer to stick rather than twist. My guess is they are either a) indecisive, or b) shrewd enough to realise that we need some stability if possible (depending on your perspective)
  14. Don't think his reputation counted for much or influenced that many. There were plenty who were disappointed that we hadn't gone for O'Neill, Curbishley, or generally that we'd gone foreign again. Anyone with any nous could remember that Valencia'd been probably the best team seen at Anfield in the last 10 years or more, granted. What did count was that the football being aimed at was clearly light years ahead of what we'd been playing under Ged - we were pressing all over, defence trying to get out, treating the ball like we wanted it, routinely came out better in the second half, and could win games after going behind.
  15. Would it be more risky that anyone else, though?
  16. This has been written lots of times, by lots of posters and it is an attractive idea, but it would be a hell of a thing to resign TWICE from the club he loves. He has said that he never thought he would get a second bite, despite yearning for it for years, and it will take a heroic effort to pass that up again. I fear that the idea represents a little bit of wish fulfillment on some posters' parts - we can get another manager without having to feel bad about wanting one (not saying this is what the poster here is thinking, just thinking a bit wider)
  17. Selling to the 2 cowboys, maybe? Apart from that, I agree. Quite simply a personal vendetta, nothing to do with football.

Winning stuff is boss, though. If you supported anyone other than us or the Mancs you'd feel different.
  22. Is correct. Just not 4th
  23. You were wrong then, and you still are.
  24. He'll be a good player for us.
  25. He's not that good though. Not just his mistake at the end.
