Is one view of a manager, but certainly it's not the one followed at 'most other clubs'. You could well say that your control freak model there is a disaster waiting to happen. It posits a leader unable to compromise, or negotiate - it's not who I would be looking to manage team affairs. Simon Kuper, for example, described one of the secrets of Lyon's success being based on the realisation that the manager doesn't have much effect on results.

Same kind of inevitable as it was inevitable that Suarez would be a racist. I.e not inevitable, as there is basically no evidence of it happening. Get a grip, ES, people are asking questions, but not in the context of 'bring back Rafa'.

I can't see it, unless there has been contact to indicate it as a possibility. But I just can't see the club doing that while anyone is incumbent, let alone it being Kenny, and I can't see Rafa waiting around for a 'maybe'.

Unlucky not to win, IMO. Bossed the game in most areas of the pitch and created several good chances. Thought the ref and his assistants had a great game, letting things flow, while catching the key incidents, like when Gerrard battered Reo Coker in the second half, just after Carroll's clever lay off. Also, it's just good, sensible reffing to let someone off a foul throw and say they can take it again. Speaking of Carroll, I wouldn't be surprised if he is looking to get a move. He must be wondering when we will start to put a squad together which does his talent justice. One of our best performances of the season, for me, just really unlucky. Typical really, after such a tough run of games all coming together like we've had over Christmas period. Thankfully we've now got a load of easier games, and the chance to put together a long winning run into March. I can smell the CL next season boys!!

We haven't actually played better since going 2 down, we've just played faster. Faster is better than slower, I suppose, but it's brain dead stuff, really.
