I'm all for incentivised contracts but am not mad about these goal bonuses he's on. Surely better if the bonuses were for winning game and trophies rather than individual targets like goals or assists? Origi not passing to Sturridge on Sunday has been talked about. It's not a huge leap to wonder if goal bonuses was part of the decision making there.

If they have so much money, why don't they just go out and buy Bale and Kane. They'd win the league, injuries notwithstanding. Bale is said to be on €600K gross at Madrid. He won't take much of a haircut on that. Kane on £100K plus massive bonuses, I am sure that won't be a problem for Yanited. If they don't get CL they can forget about it. If they do, and they don't do that, then it shows how things have changed for them.

Got to feel for him. For all his perceived faults, he didn't deserve to have the rug pulled from under him in the biggest season of his career. I can accept if Klopp doesn't rate him, I do for the right game and the right oppo, but his professional career collapsed for 6 months because of this and now he's a f***ing Palace player.
