Agree on this. It must be just me but I though Swansea were really good yesterday, they kept the ball really well, Shelvey looks a player given some responsibility, bar the obvious f*** ups of course. He came across really badly in Being Liverpool, then results were bad and the team looked more open than I'd seen in a decade. We couldn't defend set pieces and played tippy tappy football with no end product. It wasn't the most auspicious of starts. Round about February I was convinced he knew what he was doing but only this season am I really convinced that he can get us back at the top table. We just look better, everywhere on the pitch. It's great.

He used to be very very quick, he was still no slouch from what I've seen.

When that centre back is Daniel Agger it isn't a waste. Teams are far more vulnerable to a probing run from a centre back as players get drawn into the wrong position. Agger wreaks havoc with his forward runs. More licence for him is good KT DA MS GJ SG LL JE LS PC DS All the width coming from the fullbacks and LS and PC given free roles. I've seen worse formations.

He's a player that will work hard, put in a shift, and will accept being a squad player at a club that isn't in Europe. I'm not sure that you are going to get much for than that for £8m to be honest. He looked a bit out of his depth second half against the Mancs but we wont be desperately hanging on to a lead trying to counter attack every week (I hope). He did ok against Villa and Stoke.

My hope is that with Moses, Coutinho, Sturridge and Suarez providing the 3 from 4 that Aspas isn't used that often
