It bobbles and rolls towards the bottom corner, Rush, Southall and Ratcliffe all set off from a standing start to reach it but just get there in time to see it cross the line as if sucked into the net. Rush jumps the height of himself and Ratcliffe and Southall look as bitter as any footballers I've ever seen. Pandemonium.

Alright mate Yeah just started work this week. Its great so far but I'm just getting used to having no footy on the weekend anymore (its Thurs and Fri over here)...I mean, what is a fella supposed to do when there is no match on your day off? Get out of work at half five so just time to leg it to an hotel bar for the game today.

Watch it again and listen out for the crowd reaction when Hamann picks the ball up for the first time just outside our box and turns away from Kaka and Seedorf (I think) and lays it off to Carra...ten thousand Koppites behind the goal are shouting "Is right!!! Thats what we need! Sit in there Didi lad!"

On the lookout for any Reds based in Dubai who might know the best place to catch the Newcastle and Birmingham games. My "local" (Crowne Plaza) will most likely be indulging in some sort of rugby fetish this weekend - it was last week and only switched over to the Arsenal game after half an hour) and might not be open late enough for the Cup game next week so any pointers will be appreciated. Only if he had a week-to-week contract. Weeks and weeks and weeks went by where he turned in lousy, clumsy, disinterested performances - West Ham away, for instance, he played like he'd had a big night on the ale - each week we were told he was regaining match fitness...it was only when everyone had obviously lost patience with him and the prospect of signing him diminished - the Newcastle game - that he had a go and showed what he can do. Then he sat back and expected his contract to go through on the back of one match. Give him a signed contract and thats the end of his willingness to put any effort it, is how it seems.

That win at Watford in the Cup turned our season round as I remember it. Great night.
