Two things from that: 1) I don't think that article is true to the headline - nothing in there about Rafa not getting into an auction, it's more a comment on the player. Links in with what someone on here posted about agent getting a decent fee for a big money transfer now. 2) Interesting that very quickly we've got our "rebuttal" out as to why we've not gone for Walcott, contrast with MO.

Yeah, I think he is. I saw Pennant in a reserve game for Arsenal soon after he joined and he was very, very good - head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch. But he didn't have the (seeming) top attitude that Walcott has, nor the all-round skill that Walcott has. Pennant was always going to be a good RW, maybe great. Walcott can play anywhere up top, winger etc. He's that good.
