That is madly over the top. Gerrard got a bit headless at times towards the end, but some of our play was excellent at points, especially in the first half. We absoutely were not "devoid of any confidence whatsoever" either. We made plenty of chances and looked good for an equaliser pretty much until all the substitutions. The performance was streets ahead of how we were playing at the start of the season, never mind some of the proper dross from down the years. "Worst ever performance" indeed.
