Methinks Kuyt, Crouch and Voronin are gonners this summer. Of the 3 I would keep Crouch. Kuyt may not get his full fee back but we'd a few quid for Vornin... Juve, Inter or someone would pay 7 or 8 for him I'm sure.

Dunno how accurate it is etc and how many are reserves and all that but it got me thinking... do we need such a large squad? Is this the way the game has gone? Even if you had 4 players for every position that is 'only' 44 in a squad.

Changes due to cost escalation or some other business reason? Fair enough ... happens in projects of all sizes. Cheaper stadium (that I assume will have all the relevant mod cons) and more seats? That's the way forward if you ask me. You shouldn't have to spend tons of extra money to make the stadium look nice or impressive. I thought the 'expensive' design was horrible anyway. Would love to see an Allianz-Arena type stadium but will be more than happy with a 70k run-of-the-mill bowl.

Its funny how nobody mentions the zonal marking at set-pieces anymore... because it works now. The players have to take some of the blame here - take Besiktas for example where we know Rafa took too long to sub one of the front two but the players were awful (Finnan, Mascherano, SG, Riise to name a few) well before Gerrard's goal. If we win 3 or 4 on the bounce in the league all the doom talk will be gone.
