  1. whereas if he was from a broken family it would make more sense leaving country of birth and club he's been with for years at the age of 16!
  2. peltier at hull? or returned from loan following end of season? duran injured long term this is now a dead rubber but we need one or two players with experience in there padelli arbeloa hyppia paletta insua el zhar hobbs zenden kewell linfield fowler

  4. a left back then?
  5. he makes us sound like everton's dogs of war team! interesting that chelsea and barca were undone by this elementary style of play. and that rafa's style has been fairly successful over the years. He should move to arsenal - they've got plenty of kindred spirits there
  6. he just said on sky when prompted to say we deserved it over 2 legs, that it was tight (he said they had chances in the first leg and we had some in he home leg) and we won on penalties and tbfthat is true and does us proud in an earlier interview he prAISED chelsea as a team, mourinho, and jt and fat frank for being good in defeat and wishing us well the liverpool way is not aboyt hatred
  7. top post m8 _ added to the pleasure! as is aud elsewherewen he stepped up thhought yoy s***house, no moral fibre, heres our chance to get that key critcial starti
  8. !good point that> i forgot about he history but had a gut feeling robben would shiy t co. he is a shiyhouse. and we werr offe!
  9. really pleased for riise tonight - thats a performance carra was usual superb self. agger met those standards. finnan was his usual excellent self. everything pepe did was excellent. likewise mascher, and in a less purely defensive way was gerrard we were brilliant tonight= all of them
  10. best match i can remember from kuyt for a little while masch - awesome. can we now stop talking abou the makelele role. tbf makelele was good, but it was a mascher comingover the hill
  11. interesting that on sunday, all the reports said he was out, as did jose, and today, i see reports - times etc - saying he is a doubt. carvalho that is.
  12. well done the kids and thanks to steve heighway. difficult to see who will make it through, things can change even this late personally i think spearing, threlfall, ajdarevic, putterill, ryan, lindfield and maybe hansen have the best chances. out of all of them i'd say.....i dunno, there's not one who's head and shoulders obvious most of those should at least be able to havea good pro career. and maybe some of the others will too. anyway, they done us proud tonight
  13. i dont think you go from having last played a competitive match some 8/9 months ago, into a champions league semi-final. even if harry played 45 mins against pompey, i wouldnt hold out much hope. be better off going for it a bit more with riise and gonzalez on the left flank, and mascherano/alonso primed to look out to cover.
  14. which is a better result, 0-0 or 8-3?

    Adam Hamill

yeh, probably the closest, although i think hamill has achieved more

    Adam Hamill

bizarre that i cant remember the last time that we loaned a young player out and he made a big impression like hamill has done.
  17. 1. robben 2. essien 3. ballack so is he saying carvalho is out. not that i trust a single word he says!
  18. yes, because we've all been asking for more of the same since he left!
  19. leaving asid the momo as striker point (and he was once, remember! very bizarre) doubt makelele will play chelsea team is cech diarra carvalho terry a cole mikkel ballack lampard shevchenko drogba j cole subs: cudicini, kalou, sahar, bouhlarouz, bridge, makelele, ferreira
  20. chelsea fan in my office is also full of nerves and not looking forward to it. we agreed it would be a lot different, and less nervy, if we were playing any team from the continent. we've just played each other toomuch. and that's why huyton's right - it feels like just another semi final against chelsea until you think again - this is a big game! bonus if we get drogba or j cole for that matter booked...
  21. suspect most after 2005 will be happy with 0-0. but i thought then that is a very dangerous score and it was very tight then. there again, we decided in the man yoo v roma thread that it is better than 2-1! on the negative side, we certainly do not want anything more than a 1 goal deficit. and a booking for drogba would be very nice, thank you very much (carra and agger take note)
  22. they are saying on rawk that there is a russian ref for the first leg... i am sure he will feel at home as kalenka is played...

    Adam Hamill

just been on a pars forum. hamill came on after 70 mins this w.e. got a good write-up, taking players on, getting a free-kick, but "remembering its a team game". has won their young player of the year award
  24. crying out for an undisclosed settlement and mealy-mouthed clarification/apology. surprised if this one went all the way. the libel claim, that is
