i think its clear that our priority this summer must be a world class goal-scoring pacey striker. as someone said earlier, we dont know who rafa has lined up but this must be obviously apparent and no doubt we have a few possibilities lined up below villa. the next priority, i'd say, is some real world class incision on the flanks. quite where will depend on what top level talent is available on the market i guess, because at the moment, as rafa says, we have reasonable squad depth in all areas. rafa will know who can take us onto the next level - the likes of alves etc - and if that class of player can be recruited, we will find a way to fit them in. personally though i think it would only be if its really top talent that we would get a new left winger, as gonzalez and leto are both young and show a lot of promise and i suspect rafa would be reluctant to be seen to put obstacles in their way so early in their lfc careers.

well i can see what you're saying, time will tell, but in the meanwhile, i think we can feel pretty good all the same and pretty grateful to rick'n'dave. we had to get a serious investor quickly. we have serious investors. it looks like it will take us on to a higher level. and its neither morgan nor president bad profile on human rights thingysumthinatra. you have to say they had a big job to sort a big deal - getting us a very serious investor quickly - and there is no real basis at this stage to suppose they have done anything other than achieve that very well

they have had a lot of bad press over the last few years on the tied investment and stadium issues. but they have secured a good investor for the club who will take the club forward at the time it was desperately needing help. Dont sack Parry! dont sack Moores etc etc
