He's the kind of player we've been lacking for years so I'll put up with the dodgy passes as he does deliver when it counts. He scores vital goals when the team has often run out of ideas. Thats a gift.

I'm sure they have. Neville was out for ages. Smith and Scholes in an already small pool of midfielders after Keane going as well. I've been surprised by how well they've done with no decent central midfield to speak of really. If we can get a forward line working aswell as theirs we'll be unstoppable next season.

To be fair the freekick and his goal could have gone eitherway, not that I'm complaining like I shat myself when he scored even though he clearly helped himself by climbing all over Riise.Sometimes you just don't get those decisions. As for the freekick. I don't see how the ref couldn't give it having giving them one for the exact same thing not long before with Crouch. Anyway they've had a s*** load of decision go their way against us like handballs in the box in front of the ref so it's finally evened itself out when it really counts. That's what pisses him off so much

I wonder if it's down to how we train or was last season just really unlucky? The mancs have been hounded by injuries this season yet are still ahead of us in the league. If they get the right midfielders in the summer they could really be a threat for the league again next year. Bar the obvious striker and RW issues to be sorted in the summer do people feel we'll have enough about us come the start of the season to really push on? I think this summers signings are going to be really critical. It's the Diouf, Cheryou and Diao senario again. I've no idea what our forward line will look like next season but I can't bloody wait.

I think I'd prefer west ham to be honest. Viduka Yakubu and bloody JFH(who used to always score against us) are all excellent players on their day. I'd like to think WH would crumble a little on such an occasion. Fingers crossed.

Yet another typical game from him. Played prety crap for the entire time he was on with flicks and passes to no one and yet again scored an absolute vital peach of a goal. Very strange player but one I can't slag off as I'm always writing off the bad passes in anticipation of a 35 yarder into the top corner.

I don't think we sat back at all.I think the players were in two minds. Defend the lead or go for another. Rafa called Gerrard over to sort that out. After the Sissoko and Gerrard injury we had clear heads and started to play again. Great result.

Totally agree. Turned the telly off and on, off and on etc. It was horrible.

I honestly thought Gerrard was given the captains armband too early. It was a boardroom decision for the fans I thought, Thing is he's grown into it and I think he now realises just how lucky he is to be the captain. I just can't ever see him being such a tool again. He's a fecking hero and captain of a club going places. Why would he leave. All he needs is a prem title and he's a made man at his boy hood club.

I cant wait to see who we sign this summer. I still think ManU have the upper hand on us ever so slightly considering the injuries they've had and our luck finally with injuries. 8 wins in a row again. Absolutly brilliant.
