feck you Macca, I was almost ready to forget 98-99. What unmitigated s**** that was, much like this season. Its done wonders for my social life though, just watch the first half and go out for a nice meal or see friends still thinking we have a chance and then the crushing disappointment of another kak performance after I arrive home which doesn't cast a pall over the whole evening.

I haven't been outside the airport but we had to walk from the plane to the bus in Dubai in August and the heat and humidity was such that we were immediately sweaty. Couldn't imagine playing football or just being out during the day being touristy.

So glad you went for kewell instead (didn't see this before I posted on other thread..) The little bits of arrogance towards the end from Lucas were great, as well as how he kept shifting the ball to win the foul. I also think their Ramires had a really good game, not as dominant as Essien but tracked back well and provided a link. Basically Lucas without the flair . Torres would have been away several times if not for him.
