  1. but they are not bidding if Trent has not indicated he would be willing to leave in January why jeopardise the long term goal of him signing in the summer by pissing him off?
  2. I don't understand why he would want to leave in January given the position we are in.
  3. I'd be buying an experienced right back to rotate with Bradley when Trent f***s off
  4. his contract should have been sorted long before Hughes set foot in the door

  6. maybe, it was still quite soon after Bosman ruling came in regarding his mum, I'm pretty sure she passed away in the previous season, seem to remember Fowler talking about it.
  7. He has always said this is the club he supports, he's spoken of being captain and staying here his whole career. He's made a big thing of being a local lad playing for the club he supports. You expect people to not remember this? There are no financial or sporting reasons to leave.
  8. I'd have less sympathy for Trent than I have for Keegan, McManaman and Owen. At the time the wages in Germany were far in excess of anything Keegan could earn at Liverpool. They were life changing and it was totally understandable he would put his family and future financial security first. Plus we got a very decent fee for him. The club tried to flog McManaman to Barca the summer before. Loyalty cuts both ways. Also, his mum died the year before I think and he wanted a change of scene, get out of Liverpool the city. Add to this we were absolutely rubbish, he didn't support us as a lad and he gets the chance to go to Madrid and win things. Who could blame him? Owen is similar to McManaman, we were rubbish (nobody saw Istanbul coming), he didn't support us as a lad, gets a chance to win things at Madrid and play with the Glacticos. At least we got some fee, which is more than we did with McManaman. None of the above applies to Trent. He earns incredible money already, we are one of the best teams in the world and Liverpool are his club since he was a young lad. It's his decision, I wouldn't boo/abuse him for it but if he goes, of course his legacy/reputation at Liverpool is tarnished. How can it not be?
  9. yet another game of watching Brighton and Pedro being deeply unimpressive don't see what all the fuss is about
  10. Quite apart from giving Nunez offside from a part of his body which if he had scored from would have been disallowed, did he even touch the ball?
  11. hearing rumours of an inspection at 4pm
  12. sounds scientific and entirely rational.

  22. I just thought he looked a mile off it from the start in terms of fitness and physicality. Usually when a player comes back from a long absence they are fine for first 15/20 and then struggle. It seemed like the opposite with Chiesa.
  23. it was but even taking that into account, I was a little shocked.
  24. First 20 minutes or so he looked broken. Slow and completely off the pace. He improved towards the end. But I'd not be relying on him for major contributions.
  25. every time he does something daft he gets the NUNEZ NUNEZ NUNEZ chant from our lot
