We undoubtedly judge Gerrard on a different body of work but there's a complete dismissal of Aspas' because it wasn't at Liverpool. £8m for a squad player isn't much, for me. I don't know if we loaned out Borini to make space for him, either. Think we know Borini needs games and wouldn't get them here. Not that he's getting much at Sunderland either. We've not seen enough to disregard Aspas and I don't know what the goalie thing is but sounds b******s also. Unless it's Brad Jones. Like I said, I think there's a few times where if the ball is played to him he strokes it in and he has a few goals to his name. It just hasn't happened. He's tenacious and although his technique isn't great it's alright and he's relatively quick. He is a good player, even if he hasn't shown it yet. EDIT: We've only to look at Allen, Lucas and Henderson to see a player disregarded too quickly. Some were fuming with Allen's signing and wanted rid last season but now he's actually fit and had a run of games he looks like what he is: a good player. This doesn't necessarily mean Aspas will cut the mustard and there's plenty who just don't cut it but it's ten games. Anyone can look s*** in ten games. Especially in a new country and no run in the team. If he doesn't get it then he'll probably never prosper here, but he's still a good player and I'd expect him to move on and be a good player somewhere else. It happens.
