  1. This shouldn't be given any credence, the guy is a joke. Just saw his chance to get his name talked about
  2. We need him there so fans can whinge about how Lucas is preferred over local talent that just needs a chance.
  3. A fair load of the younger players have been shot off the books anyway in the last 6 months, but I see your point about overpaid youngsters. Spearing should have left for a championship club by now, he's never going to make it here, let the lad build himself up or he's going to turn into John Welsh. Although this goes against what a lot of people say, I really don't think any of the next generation (Eccleston, Pacheco, Darby, Ayala, Spearing etc.) will make it, think there's a chance for the younger ones like Ngoo, Suso and Stirling, but the Spaniards will go and have a good career in La Liga (ala San Jose) whilst Spearing and Eccleston are lower league class at best, imo. About time the club cut their losses on a fair chunk of them.
  4. At this point in time I think you need somebody who appreciates the tradition of the club but has the foresight to bring his own way to the team. With all due respect to Kenny, he's too ingrained at the club to be the man to do a complete overhaul. Or I don't think he is anyway. Him as a caretaker and then in a more prominent football role to ensure no more Woy-esque mistakes are made. If it's Rangnick or a German, get Hamman in as a coach as well. Make sure you keep enough people who know the club there to keep it intact in a correct way, but someone with the vision to build it for the future.
  5. Fraiser Dainton said that the 1:30 presser in preview of the game is going ahead with Woy today. Here I was getting excited about the proposition of Kenny in charge at Old Trafford.
  6. Tuchel seems unable to draw. Plus would he want to leave Mainz? Still think it'll be Rangnick, Dalglish or Rijkaard.
  7. Can't shake the feeling that we're not going to be getting a new manager until after we're out the FA Cup and had 6 points taken off us by both Blackpool and Everton.
  8. That not from last night?
  9. Well 'The Liverpool Way' hasn't ever been to sack managers quickly before, don't think NESV are the type to do it either. Roy is just a massive Purslow shaped black hole that needs a kicking.
  10. Romanians on twitter say that apparently his agent tries, and succeeds, in creating his reputation but he is a s*ithouse
  11. dan_bu dan_bu Elia: "Hamburg is a top club, too, but I would love to play for a club like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona or Manchester United." Yeah, great.
  12. Dear Roy, All the best, Now f*** off.
  13. How many Mainz matches have you watched, out of curiosity? Can't claim to have seen a single one, personally. Just know he's young and German, not sure about his 'bad-ass' or 'awesome'-ness.
  14. Why Tuchel?
  15. Brad Jones not on the bench, is he on international duty? Also Aurelio has vanished from the face of the Earth again.
  16. To be fair to Coyle, he's turned Bolton into something resembling a football side, which is saying a lot. But no, I don't understand the praise for a guy whose not really done that much. And to be fair to Kuyt, in the two seasons previous to this he's missed one Premier League game, was ever present for Holland in the run to the World Cup final and hasn't had a break in a very long time. Pretty fair for the guy to be struggling.
  17. Not a solitary chance, for better or worse, of Benitez coming back. Beyond the fact that Henry et al have retained Purslow as an advisor even to this day, all they would have heard is the press angle and the people who ran the club at the times point of view. Both of which were decidedly anti-Benitez, couple this with the fact that senior players' heads were turned and you've got more chance of Wayne Rooney being appointed the next Liverpool boss. Would quite like to be proved wrong, though. Kind of. Maybe.
  18. You can have Owen Coyle.
  19. Has to be 3 points. No excuses against these lot when they don't have a coach.
  20. To be fair, Klopp has just signed a new deal and his Dortmund are Pardewing the Bundesliga. Wasn't ever going to be a realistic candidate.
  21. From twitter: dan_bu dan_bu Reinhardt: "There are no requests or offers for Elia existing. Neither from Wolfsburg nor from Liverpool."
  22. A few people, whose opinions I value, seem to think Rangnick isn't ready yet and is argumentative. Not sure if he'd be the right answer at this moment in time. Not sure if it's been reported on here but, supposedly trustworthy , sources in Germany say we made an approach for Klopp at Dortmund but he said no. Good to know they're actively searching.
  23. Should play on the left, not the right. Combination of Torres, him and Aurelio is fantastic when going forward. Or certainly in Hodge's system, anyway. That said Dirk hasn't been himself this season, he looks absolutely shattered in every game. Would like to see a midfield of Maxi - Lucas - RM - Jovanovic in action at some point but there's no chance of that happening.
  24. May 23rd. Anyone said that already actually?
  25. As much as I love the guy, I just can't see him having a long term future at the club. Felt sorry for him today as every time he tried to push the back line up the pitch all three of them ignored him. That's not how Roy likes it, Daniel.
